Cyndi wouldve been much better than Scooch. It almost seemed like Scooch were taking the mick, it was that corny, and missed the 'its so eurovision' mark.

I think Jade should win, she's the best by a long mile, and if we come last with her in charge then it is a bad job, because this girl is fantastic, and as Martin said, she could be Britains answer to Rihanna.

In my eyes, she has pure talent.

Yeah she wrote on my Facebook wall today too! Lovely girl. :magic:

I actually far preferred her version of Deja Vu's to Beyonce's, which I always found a bit meh, but the piano introduction was fantastic

Jade to Moscow

the best possible case for the UK at ESC this year would be:

-Jade wins

-ALW/Diane Warren write her a classic ballad, a la There You'll Be, Don't Wanna Miss A Thing, with worldwide hit potential

-the song goes to No.1 in the UK

-Jade goes to other countries to promote the entry before the contest, which ALW said would happen this year

if anyone other than Jade wins, I shall be less than satisfied...at least the UK has five weeks to make the right decision this year as opposed to an hour. If all of the above happens, and the song is incredible, and we still come bottom five, then we have a serious problem for the future

There doesn't need to be a 'she was planted' campaign as it's painfully obvious she was. She appeared to be added without auditioning and is already working in the business as somebody else pointed out.

That doesn't matter though as she has enough talent to represent the UK and is streets and streets ahead of the other people on the show. Only blind public voting can stop her.

What it does is shows this programme up to be nothing more than a cash-generating Saturday night vehicle though. It would have considerably more dignity if they simply introduced her and had her sing Andrew Lloyd Webber's song on a one off show.

Has it ever occurred to anyone that Britain's tastes are very different to Europe so the act the public chooses on these pointless programmes is unlikely to be the one that Europe would have chosen given the same choice. They say voting is 'political' but I think it simply reflects musical tastes geographically...it stands to reason that Estonians and Latvians will enjoy Russian acts or that Croats will enjoy that made by Serbs.

I couldn't have put it better myself, in fact my university dissertaion last year (about Eurovision amongst other things) had about 2000 words on how I think a lot of 'political voting' is down to cultural taste and differences...

I doubt Scooch and Daz Sampson are the type of music that is popular over in Serbia, it's not even popular here

Forgot to watch the show last night but from the impression here i take it she was the best of the night so hopefully she will our entry.
