I think of the those two couples ... the right one went! Gemma was a bit 'stiff'.

Oh please let Ray fall over next week!

Roxanne was marked way too low last night. was shocked to see Gemma go so early - would love to see ray have a little tumble next week - it would be amusing.

I was shocked when I saw how low Roxanne's marks were! Glad the TV audience saw sense. It was right that Gemma should go ... she was dreadful. I know a lot of people thought that Colleen would be first to go but despite her not having a 'stick-girl' figure ... she was still quite comfortable looking on the ice.

Norma

I was suprised how comfortable Coleen was on the ice too.

Who do you think will go on Sunday? I hope its not Colleen .... she's doing great things for women of a certain age and a certain figure! And I sure as hope Ellery don't go .... he is my absolute favourite!

I'll place my bets on Donal.

You've got to love Colleen. "I could get sixes, I wont but I could" :P

I think she's fab! She looks so much more graceful than some of the 'skinny' girls out there. Plus ... she's funny! Her and Ellery are my faes still!

Todd Carty      never laughed so much for ages

He's going to be in it until the end isn't he? Mind you he is superb entertainment and at least the judges on this, while giving low marks, aren't as cruel and bullying, and in general so 'up their own arses' as the judges on Strictly.

Oh why is Ray Quin so good? I was willing him to fall tonight and he didn't!

Me too. I was hurting I laughed so much

I hope he doesn't go out even though he was the worse by far. Could do with some more of that hilarity next week :yahoo:

Well it looks like its going to be Ellery and his partner in the skate off against (can't remember who) but it won't be Todd Carty!

Ellery could go tonight! (

Norma

Yup! Ellery V Jeremy!

Ellery's still in! Should never have been in the skate off like, but at least he's still in!

Norma

Thanks for that. I know he is a terrible skater but I do wonder how much of this was orchestrated. How did they know to have a camera in the tunnel? They don't normally have one there! Or am I just being cynical?

Jeremy Edwards interview re Todd:

"What did you make of Todd Carty's 'performance'?

"It was hilarious! At both ends of the scale, with Ray and Todd, I think they are both fascinating to watch and I don't begrudge either of them. They were never my competition. I know it's a bit boring for the press, but everyone on the show is very, very nice. We all know what it's about. Todd makes no bones about it and plays up to it. Chris and Jayne gave him the routine where he went off the rink and fell over. That was all choreographed, it wasn't an accident."

I dont think it was planned. I mean, I know its entertaining, but Chris & Jane would not go so low that they try and make someone worse, they will try and improve the skaters skills. I do believe from what I've heard that he was supposed to go into the tunnel but come back, he was not by any means supposed to slip over.

Anyway, I'm getting dragged into the "thinking too far into it" group. It was pure TV comedy and it should be left that way, without the pondering over deliberate and not deliberate.

You're right ... this is pure entertainment ... and until this I didn't even like Todd Carty much but he seems like a top bloke. The good thing about this show is ... the judges can show their approval / disapproval of the skating via the marks they give only. They're never bullying - OK - Jason can be a bit withering with his comments .... but there isn't a 'gang mentality' that resuls in full-scale bullying. That behaviour was of course shown on the 'other' dancing show (the show that demands less skill and a lot less balls!)

I love this show.
