October 14, 200915 yr I apologise for this as it's not exactly my best piece of writing as my head is a bit all over the place right now after the past few hours. Just hope it might give a few mins of relief to some fans amidst the worry. I met my fellow Leona fan @movatheintern (well worth a follow ;)) at 9am outside Waterstones. Well eventually we found eachother :kink: There were already 34 people in front of us. We purchased our copies of Dreams and took our places ready for the few hours ahead. Just in front of us, were some adorable French fans and we quickly got chatting. The hour we spent listening to Echo - yes, Echo - was a blur. I'm not going to say too much as it was only one listen, with one earphone each. However I will say- WOW. Based on first listen every track sounded incredible. Early favs: Naked, Alive, DLDM, Outta My Head and of course the epic I Got You. Hearing Echo certainly wasn't anything I imagined experiencing today. Two of the French fans were then interviewed for a "promotional video". Just as this was happening I spotted one eight-legged fan named spiidey(!)walk past! With the camera there I couldn't shout hello. Gutted! Looking good in pink sir ;) So then at 13:30 we were brought into Waterstones. Up to the 4th week and there we began queuing around the bookshelves. We were lucky enough to be right down at the section Leona would be doing her press. I was spotting some of Leona's PR people and her management about the place and every time the lift doors opened we got excited with our cameras read. In true Diva fashion it was 15:25 before the angel emerged. There are no words to describe Leona in real life. Within seconds the crowd were cheering and the cameras flashing. Insane! She did some press as we all watched. They were then sent out and the signing began. The 3 french fans we were with went first - their 2nd meeting a week! JEALOUS MUCH?! She knew them instantly and was smiling SO much! Up I went then. Christ. Never have I been so lost for words. Those eyes are just captivating. After 5 seconds I realised I needed to speak so we had a rather random conversation about twix pancakes - I'd brought her along a packet of pancakes and some twixes so she could treat herself. I can't quite believe I stood right there, in front of Leona and spoke to her as if she was an old friend. 6 hours of queuing for about 25 seconds? Worth it? Damn right! As we were leaving one of the french fans said hello to Nicola Carlson - Leona's Manager. Nicola was like "How do you know my name?!" We stood chatting her for a few minutes - what a LOVELY lady! She pointed over to Leona's mum who was sitting in ther corner with her new dog Mitsy  Out of the corner of my eye - once again I spotted spiidey - this time having his own moment of fame speaking to someone with a camera! Once again I couldn't interrupt! With that, we left Waterstones. The queue was still long outside, I would estimate another 400-500 still. Upon arriving home of course I got news of what had followed. I won't rant here. I'm devestated tbh. Knowing someone was so close behind me in the queue, and without a doubt planning this attack makes me feel sick. It's been a day of so many emotions. Right now I know I should feel very grateful for the fact I met Leona and spoke with her. Seeing her so distraught leaving the building though is heartbreaking. I hope the bast*rd who ruins her and the true fans day pays for this. http://twitpic.com/lihyn
