June 16, 200619 yr Author Well like, get a magician who can escape then. I so do care for animals more than fat, smelly old men. And like, pigs have the same intelligence as a 3 year old child, and deserve to rest in peace in a grave surely? Kk. ^_^ But Peta = . I don't know what the whole 'Peta Kills Animals' thing was about, the site could have been made by people who don't like them, or maybe there just so happened to be a couple of dodgy workers. Hah, now I know why you wanted to know if sunken was a word! I'm so watching this program next week at 12pm. Lucy you're going daft! But pigs are basically the same as smelly fat men =l. And they're obv not as important as humans. Peta = POO more like! =o. I don't know either, but it clearly wasn't made up! And there was some jazz about them torturing people and like, abusing lab workers or whatevs? =s. B) B) . You so are! And the Junior Mythbusters =. Tory <3333. He was all "Don't worry won't be hurt by the small electric shock and then when he did electrify himself he was all like he had epilepsy or something  . Mop. And Freeview so does have Discovery Channel! I think =l. I don't actually know.

Like, the people that kill them by hanging them upside down by just one leg and sliting their throats whilst they are still alive and fully awake. Yeah well if you saw what they do to those little monkeys in labs you'd want to abuse lab workers too. Peta obv don't torture anyone though, that clearly would make them hypocrites. They save animals, surely that's a good thing? Ahahahaha @ Tory.

PETA sponsors many terroist pro-animal rights activities, such as burning scientific labs (with animals inside them, might I add) and they also sponsor people who personally terrorize not only Scientists but their families as well (including young innocent children) Most of these families have had to flee to different parts of the country and often change their identity to escape the terror of their every day lives. Now, to me, that is torture. [Ohhyeaah B).] And plus animals so aren't more important! Blates! What about all those young kiddies who have to like, make Maccy D's happy meal toys and such just for like 5p wages? I'd personally much rather help them. In a non-mean way. HAH@our little debate we've got giong on B), allllll becuase of Myffbusters <3.
June 17, 200619 yr Animals are far more important to me than people While this sounds a bit cold I really didn't care much about 9/11, starvation in Africa, the tsunami etc, yes they were sad but they did not tug at my emotional heartstrings whereas stuff like the Thames Whale dying, malnourished dogs, those horses that were left to die in a stable by their owner etc had me in tears PETA do a great job :)

It wasn't even cuuute obv! Didn't you even care just a teensyweensy bit about the little, innocent civillians that had there brains blown in, quite literally, during 9/11 & that whole Iraq jazz? PETA are the biggest hypocrites ever though  anyone with any sense who supports animal rights won't support PETA. It's like me supporting immigration by giving money to the BNP or something, what good would it do? And plus PETA's a silly name! Which is fragrantly the most important factor B).

I just have a soft spot for animals :) animal suffering and animal cruelty really affects me, I have vowed that when I die my assets will go not to my family or anything but to Battersea dogs home and the league against cruel sports and that sorta thing, I just have a love of animals stuff like 9/11 and Iraq etc were sad but they did not bring me to tears like the whale and the dead horses etc, I suppose get so used to death on the news that become conditioned to it While I can see your point Sarah PETA have done a lot to raise public awareness of animal cruelty and also the way they have discredited the likes of Jennifer Lopez has helped raise awareness of animal suffering :) I don't like violence though I don't like scientists being killed or anyone being murdered that is taking things way too far but animals do mean a lot to me :)
June 17, 200619 yr The whale was cute ;) awwww was a lovely creature the way it was gracefully gliding through the water of the Thames etc :) Seeing it in distress and flapping about through oxygen starvation was so sad though :(
June 17, 200619 yr But Peta wouldn't have to take action if scientists didn't do experiments, which I might add are usually unneccessary to animals, and it's not as if it's humans who can actually volunteer. Maybe you should watch a couple of videos, like the monkey one to see what they are actually doing to animals before saying 'poor scientists' ? I obv don't want to argue with you though. I just get really into debating lol. And Ozzy Ozbourne, how can you not care about 9/11 etc?? And like, where's the whale talk come from? LOL, this actually started as a general banter about Mythbusters, blatently an animal rights debate now.

You are taking my words out of context Lucy :) I admitted that 9/11, tsunami etc were sad but I also admitted that I am far more emotionally affected by animal tragedy than I am human tragedy, I can't retract that as that is the way I feel, I am not emotionally affected by human tragedies, it does not mean I don't find them sad or that I am uncaring I was far more emotionally affected by the death of the Thames whale than I was the people in the world trade center or the tsunami

I wouldn't have a problem with this whole "Animal" malarky if it was some other charitything supporting it, personally. There's having an opinion and standing up for it and then there's the kind of violence which lowers people to the level of those they are condemning - Which is which is crossing the liiine! All they're doing with all their terroism is scaring those who would be their supporters away. They might claim that humans need to treat animals more fairly but I'd suggest they treat humans with a fair attitude as well, because we are the only ones that are ever going to be able to change anything for animals. This SO should be moved to the PerspectiveWorld forum! Ask someone to move it Lucy! <3 WE'RE PUTTING THIS B*TCH ON ICE. Mythbusters! [/mop].

''I am not emotionally affected by human tragedies''. Even I would prefer a lot of people to live than a whale. Sarah : I well understand what you're saying and everything. But do you agree with me that people who abuse animals deserve to be abused themselves? (obv not killed, but harrassed a bit). Yeah but this was -our- banter, people will come along and write essays and take over and be all 'END OF.'

Yeah but this was -our- banter, people will come along and write essays and take over and be all 'END OF.' What I meant though about being not emotionally affected was that I was not close to tears, I sat at the tv during 9/11 in sheer shock but at no time was I reaching for the kleenex like I was with the Thames whale so the death of people does not tug at my emotional heartstrings Whales are an endangered species too whereas thousands of people will be born to replace the population cull of 9/11 and the tsunami etc, while that is of course no consolation whatsoever for the families of 9/11 in relative terms its a fact
June 17, 200619 yr Author :o! Gosh no! You make it sound like a passtime Lucyyy! :o *flails & screams like a headless chicken obv B)*. And especially not when the animals are tested for medical purposes. Fortunately most people have a basic understanding of 'biological science' [/obv I'm not included in those 'most people', lawl] and realise that. And humans obv shouldn't be terrorised even if they were killing animals and putting them in VIVISECTION [!! BIG WORD!] for cosmetic purposes, that's still putting a tenth of a foot over a yellow line obv. No harassment nec'! :o And I knowww, but everyone's obv agreeing with you and I want some backups! Ahah.

They inject them with god knows what, they are so tiny and frail and get kicked/stuffed in tubes/refused pain relief and help by 'scientists' and I read an actual true interview where the people doing experiments admitted to grabbing them when they were desperately clawing onto their cages (which I might add was covered in feces [/sp?] and blood) and mistreating them. Humans can be evil. Remember all that in the papers with the animals being hanged etc? What do you think those people deserve? A pat on the back??!!??!! And what's with the cosmetic purposes?? So, kill a cat so you can have a new mascara. [/ilovedebatingwithyou.Fun B) ] Listen Ozz, stop talking about a whale that died. It's just one whale.

I just dislikes the fact that people actually -support- PETA when, as I have previously stated [b)] they are just as bad as the people that actually do the animal testing and the like, IMO. I'm not saying they deserve a pat on their backs, but they just don't deserve to be threatened and have their famillies terrified and all over the shop. "LYNN, YOU COULDN'T PRESENT A....CAATT." [unecessaryAPeaquote]. I wouldn't kill a cat for new mascara, unless the world had very few mascaras like that time when the Branston Pickle factory blew up and everyone went mad for pickle, but that's not important. And uhh, I've actually forgotten the point now =l, something like...the people still don't deserve to be terrorised whatever they're using the animals for. Unless they're creepy and have those glasses which make your eyes look HUGE like that guy's off of Beethoven. [x2 OBV B) ]
June 17, 200619 yr Author Whales are an endangered species people are not When people start becoming an endangered species I will care more about their plight :) BUT, can't people just invent a new way to make whales? Like a mammel version of IVF or something, it is possible =o. I think.

Just take up room in the sea. It's not our fault if they swim off track into the Thames is it. It's not as if you can have one as a pet either, why love them so much?
