Posted January 7, 200916 yr 30 → We Are Scientists - Brain Thurst Mastery ¤ http://www.chartstats.com/image/a8144_100.jpg You just have to love this band (2 scientists only) with their out of the ordinary name and goofy dress code. Well it doesn't end their, a great album from these two americans who are reviving the true alternativerock sound that i lurv.. Must say the two singles are pretty much the highlights of the album but my bigg fav is Chick Lit. I could only buy this album from them cause that's all that was available (I live like in the middle of nowhere) but this one had greater success peaking at #11 in the uk albums. It really is a pity that they come and go fast, but this album soo is the opposite. I mean you never listen to it as much as you used to but its still gewd. 29 Katy Perry → One Of The Boys ¤ http://www.chartstats.com/image/a13700_100.jpg After hearing IKAG earlier in the year I was unfortunately hooked enough to overplay it to death before it even hit the radio stations which overplayed it soo much untill I hated it too death and now all the remixes and ringtones of it are still on tv its as annoying as hell. But I eventually got over that and and bought the album after hearing HNC, which has such a kewl video wit such a hott guy ahh. Anyways stand outs for me on it were Hot N Cold but THE song is Self Inflicted although IKAG would originally be the best excluding all the commotion about it and I must 'Thinking Of You' isn't at all that bad and am really growing to love it, buttt it should've have been 4th single but anyways great to see her starting the electronic rock trend and I don't miss Perry disappearing anytime soon, which everyone on this forum seems to think.
January 7, 200916 yr Author 28 → Lady GaGa - The Fame http://i36.tinypic.com/xpsufb.jpg I got this really late so there was not much time for it to grow on me thus it not being so high. Tbh its a bit samey but atm have been in love with Poker Face whole heartedly although 'Just Dance' with no Colby, 'Papparazzi' and 'Starstruck' are really good too. I love her more and more. I just wonder if she wears a wig or not. Anyways she's greeat would not mind going completely lesbo for her and lmao at the Christina/Gaga confrontation, you have to love her. Something new and something thats gonna still be huuuge. Muchluv2Gaga. 27 → Coldplay - Viva La Vida etc http://www.chartstats.com/image/a8488_100.jpg Okay I love Coldplay n all but this album is way overrated and I honestly am shocked at how well it did in comparison to their previous albums which were miless better. But it obviously is good enough to makes this countdown and the obvious standout is Viva La Vida, the single, one of the global songs of the year. Although Lost is really underrated and Violet Hill really overrated. Pretty much nothing else to say except Chris Martin seriously needs to do something with his hair, it'd make a huge difference.
January 7, 200916 yr Author 26 → The Killers - Day + Age http://www.chartstats.com/image/a13805_100.jpg Yay a new sound from them, although I much much preferred THE Hot Fuss sound but change is always good. 'Human' is the ultimate sing-in-the-shower song. Again haven't got round to listening to this as much due to all my random obsessions (Jazmine, Gabriella, etc) but my fav atm is 'Spaceman'. Not the biggest Killers fan but people got me more into them than I'd expected and liking demlots lately. Ohh and lol at the poor band member on Human's cover art :heehee: 25 → Laura Marling - Alas I Cannot Swim http://www.chartstats.com/image/a7391_100.jpg Ohh gosh I start to love this artist more and more. She is such a bright underrated talent. But I got some loads of time recently during the holiz to overplay this and her sound is just so unique and catchy, tbh we need more Laura Marlings on this earth to showcase what real music is and huge suprise is that I barely hate a single track on this butt 'Night Terror' ftw. She deserves massive and not minutue success, but I guess talent is not that all important anymore. Anyways #25 is Miss Marling and I will do the next 5 or more albums tomoz. :o Edited January 7, 200916 yr by Katherine.
January 7, 200916 yr Author You guys will like more as I go along and there plenty of twists etc :kinkk stay tuned cause I bet nobody exactly knows who the #1 is :o Cass much? :kink: I take "Viva La Vida etc" as a personal insultment :/ :( :|

January 7, 200916 yr Author No I dont have The Alesha Show or Rihanna Reloaded albums :o @ Kirsty: you motherf***ing c**t of bitch that song is the $h!t, crime against music :¡
January 8, 200916 yr Author 24 → The Futureheads - This Is Not The World ¤ http://www.chartstats.com/image/a8464_100.jpg I forgot how long these guys have been around but I have their last two album, this one being amaze n all but a lot more punkier than the last and apparently the first album is the best but I wouldn't know. Highlights for me is 'The Beginning Of A Twist' (duh) and 'Walking Backwards'. Looking forward to da next albums in the Future. Oh and this really underrated tbh. 23 → Jax Panik - Jax Panik ¤ http://www.fuzz.com/images/group/27/JaxPanik/9ddbb4fa-im.jpg Debut album from a really kewl Electro Pop Rock artist, a mixture of class music and catchy lyrics aswell as some good original vocals. I found it on myspace but now its huge where I live, both first and second singles making the SA Singles Top 10. Gabriella can really take tips from Jax on single choices as both his are the best on the album.. 'Cigarettes and Cinnamon' my second fav and yet sooo great, it has a totally rebel video which you musttt watch -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zA2dwSGMmpE my ultimate fav is 'Russian Roulette' which is guaranteed a bjsc entry once the video is on youtube.
January 8, 200916 yr Author 22 → Glasvegas - Glasvegas ¤ http://www.chartstats.com/image/a13668_100.jpg One of the best breakthrough bands this year, Glasvegas and their massive debut album narrowly missing out on top 20 here. It is brilliant n all but the alternative albums as a whole seemed a bit samey for me this year but still a couple of them bands coming in the rest of the countdown. Favourite off the album is the first single 'Geraldine' and have to mention the accents are adorable and really trademark them. Hope they suprise us with a third single this year, honestly have no clue which track it'll be though :o 21 → N-Dubz - Uncle B ¤ http://www.chartstats.com/image/a13798_100.jpg Shaniqua, whose this woman in my bed? As much as i love N-Dubz the album isn't that great as a whole with half of it being completely unbearable and the other half completely amaze. With their out of the ordinary lyrics and that immensely talented girl I became obsessed particularly with 'Ouch', 'I Swear' and even 'Papa Can You Hear Me'. But the clear stand out is 'Strong Again' if only N-dubz had more tracks like that but I guess the whole chav rap like thing is what made their album go platinum in 7 weeks.
January 8, 200916 yr THE FUTUREHEADS :w00t: yeah the first album is the best, but TINTW $h!ts all over News and Tributes. N-Dubz over Futureheads :puke2: your a nazi.
