"We never had so many fans visiting us on this special day", he said. On behalf of the city of Memphis and Shelby County, mayor Wharton (see picture) declared this day "Elvis Presley Day". With so many fans visiting Graceland in 2009, one can only imagine how big the crowd will be next year, when the world celebrates Elvis's 75th anniversary.
