I said Henry because he was voted the best foreign player ever! Of course I'd say Cantona myself! It was when he moved that I REALLY became addicted!

Rooney injured, Evra injured, Ferdinand struggling with his back, you are being wildly optimistic with your predictions

Not to mention the balance of power is going to shift massively in Manchester with Kaka now joining Man City, enjoy this season because City are going to win everything from next year

Yes, banned for 9 months for being a complete c**t. He was such a good player he got himself banned for nearly a year. Great players are not only great players but they're model professionals and role models, something that could easily be said of Bergkamp, of Zola, of Henry, but of Cantona? Not a chance!

Anyway to address your point, Evra has played 65 minutes of their last 5 Premiership games, Ferdinand has missed their last 4. Yet of their last 9 games they've won 7, drawn 2 and conceded a big fat 0. That is title form, something which Liverpool and Chelsea are playing way below at the moment.

The title is Man Utd's to lose. They've the biggest and best squad (both with first XI and strength in depth), they've the experience of winning the Premier League unlike Liverpool and Scolari and they've by far the most attractive set of remaining fixtures. The title is Man Utd's to lose.

I still don't think Man City will do much soon. So what they'll have Kaka, it just proves he's greedy tbh. Going from being with one of the best clubs in the world to one that's not even likely to be in Europe. Is he really likely to be committed to the cause? People said when West Ham signed Mascherano and Tevez they'd be breaking towards the top 6/4. They did nothing. And if I'm honest I really don't think Man City will be that different...

I still think it'll be close with the title. Man Utd are in great form, but the loss of Rooney might be a big one. How long is he out for?

As for the best foreign player ever to grace the EPL then i'd go with Zola. Genius player to watch. I've never seen Cantona play bar highlights and whilst he was good I fully agree with what RFC said about him...

If Kaka signs for Man City then it just shows you that the footballing world has gone mad. No chance will they win the league next year either. For starters their defence is absolute bollocks. No matter how good your attack is, if you can't defend you're never gonna win anything.

Up to three weeks. Our next three Prem fixtures are Bolton (not won in four), West Brom (bottom of the league) and Everton (never performs). I can't see his injury doing too much damage to our next three collective team performances tbh.

Hmm I don't think it will then either, but ynever know with these things. Tevez will get to play anyway and he's as good as Rooney.

Good to see you talking common sense as ever.

I'm a Liverpool supporter but is is Manchester United's title to lose no question for all the above reasons. Liverpool have so far boxed above their weight in the first half of the season despite Torres missing half the Games but it is unrealistic to expect their squad to compete with Manchester United especially as the Mancs are going to pay way over the odds to buy Wigan midfielder Wilson Palacios for a ridiculous £14 million. Whilst Liverpool's squad will be further depleted by the sale of Daniel Agger to AC Milan for £8.5million.

Whilst I'd agree (frustratingly as a Liverpool supporter) Manchester United are only going to struggle if both Rooney & C Ronaldo are out at the same time (due to the squad they possess) and with 3 fixtures coming up where they should expect a minimum of 7 points from Rooney is not going to be missed other than by referees having an easier time of things by his absence.

mate, if you could play United or Real Madrid in the CL final, who would you choose?

it's a no brainer

with or without Ronaldo

we're the World's greatest club

mention Manchester United anywhere in the world and get a response that matches upto our greatness

Indeed you are 100% correct it is a complete no brainer.

European Cup/UEFA Champions League victories:

1st Real Madrid 9

6th Manchester United 3 (not even the top English club!)

Inter Continental Cup/FIFA Club World Cup:

1st = Real Madrid 3

6th = Manchester United 2

Domestic League Titles:

Spain:

1st Real Madrid 31

England:

2nd Manchester United 17

As for C Ronaldo I think he is making things pretty clear whom he’ll be playing for next September what with his revelation to a journalist on Monday that he is learning Spanish and now this further development……

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090114/sp_so...ifaawardronaldo

After all he is the best player in the world so it is only natural that he has the ambition to move to the greatest club of all time.

Remember David Beckham did the same thing with DB23 prior to a move to Real Madrid.

As for Manchester United being the biggest club in the world, can they afford £91 million to buy Kaka?

If they cannot then they are not even the biggest club (financially) in Manchester.

I don't believe Agger will go to AC Milan. Apparently the ITKs have said he was at Melwood when he was in Milan. I know Rafa rates Skrtel over Agger though. But Agger going for 8.5 million?! Christ. The world IS going mad if Liverpool are willing to sell him for that much, regardless of how long is left on his contract.

£8.5m would be an absolute bargain for Agger. I'd say centre-half was the one position where Liverpool have real, geniune quality in their back-ups. They need a replacement if they're going to sell him... Hyypia has been a great defender and fantastic servant hut he's 35 now and you have to say, past his peak. He's fine for a certain amount of games (like Ryan Giggs) but there's no way he'd have been able to cover for Skrtel for the past couple of months, and with Carragher seemingly first choice right-back back-up (what did happen to Phillip Degen?) it'd be madness to sell him.

I agree about a bargin for him. I personally don't believe he's as good as Skrtel, but he offers such a great attacking threat. I don't believe Rafa would let him go unless he has another defender in the pipeline. We've some good youth team player centre backs, but none of them are ready to make the step-up yet. Various people have said Agger is absolute c**t of a person, but a lot of footballers are. I still don't believe Rafa will sell him though...

And Degen is injured (thank God). Possibly the worst player i've ever seen play for Liverpool. He's OK offensivley, but he's awful at defending. Complete liability. If we play with him we definitely WON'T win the title. I just can't wait till Arbeloa gets back.

I thought the same, but money talks. 500k a week? I don't know anyone who in their right mind wouldn't join Man City for that. No doubt he'll have have absolutely millions of get-out clauses in his contract too. I still hope he doesn't go, but i'd say it looks pretty likely now.

Nah I don't believe for one minute they'll be relegated, but they won't do anything this season [or next]. What Man City are doing is just wrong and stupid. Is killing off football. No wonder it's a middle class sport now. I can't blame Kaka for going there, I mean he's got f*** all to lose, as he will have a million get out clauses in his contract.

Hughes is just a puppet at the moment though. No control over transfrs really, as ultimately if the owners want a player then they'll try their best to get him.
