I think that 'Issues' is far better than 'The Loving Kind'. I am very glad for the Sats, but if they have promoted Issues in December the album sales would be so much higher.

As far as I would love GA to miss the Top 10 this time, I think it's obvious they're gonna be top 10!

If No Can Do was able to climb from 83 to 23, that is 60 spots thanks to their physical release and not bein top 40 in iTunes (that week), why wouldn't they climb 20 places???

I think they will, and next week they will fall like a rock... I can see TLK bein one of her lowest selling single.

How strange... does this """flop"" have nothing to do with X Factor bein over and not seein Cheryl everyweek on the TV???

Oh god you're going to get a bit of a backlash, I feel sure :heehee:

TLK might well drop out of the top 10 after one week but it's sales won't be anything like their lowest singles. I imagine sales are already at 50k and it'll wind up with over 100k, and out-sell I Think We're Alone Now, Whole Lotta History, See The Day, Long Hot Summer, Wake Me Up, The Show and Life Got Cold (and possibly Sexy! No No No).

what this proves is promo helps! I think GA will be top 10 which they deserve but if they'd done a bit of promo they should have been top 5.

If TLK doesnt sell many singles, its only because their album has sold in excess of 620,000 <_<

Well it would help if they had done ANY promo closer to the singles release! ie. this week!

People vastly over estimate the influence of "radio mixes" in boosting sales. Only obsessive completists feel the need to buy a radio edit which is substantially the same as the album edit, bar being a bit shorter for Radio 1. When was the last time we saw a radio edit chart highly when the album version of the song had already been charting highly on iTunes for some time?

Most consumers either search by looking at the top 100 tracks or go via the album. The only time you tend to see multiple entries is of a first single when the album is released so the album track enters, or in Kid Cudi's case a highly repressed release hits iTunes in a number of versions and people aren't sure which is the main one so you get a series of entries in the confusion.

Girls aloud have been around for 6 years and released 6 albums (one every year) and still people complain that they miss a few promo dates. Don't they deserve a break?

Some artists release albums over here and dont step foot in this country!

Hopefully Girls Aloud do miss the top 10. Hopefully then they can drop all this silly "record stuff" and get on with being a balls out brilliant pop group.

Kid Cudi Club mix has been removed!

For anyone who doesn't know this is the one at #15..I don't know if it's been removed or theres a problem buying as it states this song is currently not available in the Uk Itunes store..yet it's still on the homepage at #15!?!

That's gonna effect sales big time!

:o

UPDATE:DEFINATELY REMOVED..JUST TRIED TO BUY IT

No, it has nothing to do with the X Factor not being on. Its because the album has been huge

Good! :D

It's probably just that they removed one of the bundles... they were exactly the same right?
maybe they'll just add all his remix versions together so the song will actually end up higher?

I havn't a clue why they removed it?

Surely it will end up with less sales as it was climbing for top 10, so obviously it would have got more sales, being featured on the homepage.

Bit weird I guess we will find out soon enough when Itunes updates again then we can see if they have re-added.

maybe the song had a flaw or was poor quality?

I don't think they can do that, each song in the iTunes chart links to a particular track in the store.

I know the album has been huge.. But I'm free to think that if this album and The Promise had sold so well was basically thanks to Cheryl bein in the most watched tv programme in the UK.

Even fans recognize this album not bein their best by far and The Promise not bein their best single... this time it has NOTHING to do with quality... as "Hero" had nothing to do with quality but to be the single of X Factor finalists. The same thing with Alexandra... do you really think if Alexandra had not bein a contestant of X Factor she will have the best selling single of the year??? I don't think so... I even doubt it will have made the top 10 (I love Alexandra and think she's VERY talented), but that's the reality... X Factor is like God... and GA had this promo everyweek in front of 9 million people...

It's my opinion, don't want people to share it, but at least respect it.

maybe the song had a flaw or was poor quality?

Lots of people would agree with the last bit :heehee:

In fairness, Rub, 50% of fans probably thought The Promise was their best-ever lead single. If not more.
