Posted January 9, 200916 yr Havent heard much about this project for a while but is there any new news on a possible release date?
January 10, 200916 yr According to MadonnaTribe the Greatest Hits will be released in the first quarter of 2009 by Warner.
January 10, 200916 yr I think Madonna should wait until October or November to make this a massive seller, getting in on the Christmas market is bound to make this package successful.
January 10, 200916 yr i wonde rwill they go with a double pr triple cd and include all her hits seeing she has gone from the label?
January 11, 200916 yr I think Madonna should wait until October or November to make this a massive seller, getting in on the Christmas market is bound to make this package successful. I guess this is up to Warner. She has nothing to do anymore with this Greatest Hits.
January 12, 200916 yr This greatest hits might just be carrying on where GHV2 left off, so songs from American Life, Confessions On A Dance Floor & Hard Candy. But to be honest their isn't enough hits their at all really. It could just be a collection of her number one singles
January 12, 200916 yr they would be better going with number 1;s than just putting her last few songs on it,,greatest hits didnt do any where near aswell as the immaculate collection so they should go all out and make this album huge
March 20, 200916 yr THE LATEST NEWS FROM MADONNATRIBE: The final Madonna album under her Warner Records contract will be out this fall and will include new songs, her longtime publicist told People magazine. "Madonna does have plans to go into the studio to record a few new songs for this album," Liz Rosenberg is quoted by the online website of People as saying. 'We're hoping to have a greatest hits package come out in September. We're all very excited about it." The new Greatest Hits, which follows "The Immaculate Collection", the ballad compilation "Something to Remember" and "GHV2", will be Madonna's last release with Warner Bros, the label with whom the Queen of Pop sold more than 200 million albums in a 27-year relationship before signing her new deal with Live Nation.
March 22, 200916 yr Author If they get this right and record a couple of really cool new tracks which are included on the greatest hits, then this album could easily be her biggest in recent years. I'd love Madonna to release a complete greatest hits set, which also includes a limited edition release for the fans including some rare unreleased stuff.
March 23, 200916 yr I feel remakes of the classics in production! Vogue 2.0 could be something hot! Could sound interesting :o I can't wait for those new songs if she really wants to do some new material on the Greatest Hits album
March 24, 200916 yr I doubt very much she will remake any tracks, maybe remix and/or rerecord some. One of the new tracks is suppose to be going to be going to be dancefloor stomper. Would love a big anthem along the lines of I will survive.
March 24, 200916 yr Do you think any of these new songs will get released as songs, like "Rescue Me" got released in 1990
March 25, 200916 yr Do you think any of these new songs will get released as songs, like "Rescue Me" got released in 1990 I do think there will be one (or maybe two) singles before the Greatest Hits will be released.
April 22, 200916 yr The latest news from Madonnatribe: Madonna is in the studio working on a dance bonus track for her Greatest Hits album. Once again the news comes straight from her manager Guy Oseary's Twitter page. "In the studio with Madonna right now..." Guy - who is with her in New York - posted on Twitter a few minutes ago. "Music sounds goooooood.. bonus track for greatest hits album", he also says.
April 23, 200916 yr It's probably an unknown demo that's she dusting off and class as 'New'. I know I thought she might be making remakes of her songs, but I'm starting to think why, why would she want to do something for her old record label now? But still, at least we get a few new songs to keep us going until the new album next year
April 24, 200916 yr Further updates form Madonnatribe: It's hot in the studio... but the music is hotter! Get it straight from the horse's mouth. Madonna is back in the studio today with producer Paul Oakenfold and she has something to say about it via Guy Oseary's Twitter page: "Paul Oakenfold is running around the studio naked.. because I won't put the air on.. it's hot in here.. but the music is hotter!!!! M." Paul himself replied to a fan and told him to "come early to the show and let's start the party early..." "Really looking forward to seeing yall... and I take requests" Oakenfold also wrote. And then Guy looked quite pleased by their working session and said "Finally listening to the track!!!.. been waiting and waiting for the right mix.. another great DANCE track.." Thu, April 23 (Full Article | Join the Forum | Email us) and theres more Breaking News: Madonna back in the studio, writing lyrics Guy Oseary goes live on Twitter again tonight and lets friends and followers know that he is back in the studio with Madonna. "I was hoping to get Madonna to tweet from the studio" - Guy also wrote - "but she's been busy writing lyrics." Earlier yesterday (or today, US time) Guy posted an update at Icon talking about the recording sessions currently going on, mentioning the name of the producer of what he calls "an amazing dance track", more tracks in the making, and asking Iconer to wish him luck as he was going to try to get M on Twitter this week. And he eventually managed to for a short time. Madonna backing singer Nicki Richards sent her support via Twitter writing "Go M!!! Can't wait to hear what she's cookin' up. My love and good creative vibes to both of you!!!", and minutes later M replied from Guy's account saying "I'm cooking up something good for you to sing with me on... love, M".
April 25, 200916 yr Oakenfold  I'm glad she's doing another dance record for the greatest hits tbh. The Confessions era was one of her best yet :)
