Posted January 15, 200916 yr Latest Guitar Hero iteration Guitar Hero: Metallica will be released in May. Publisher Activision confirmed the release date to Eurogamer, adding that the title will hit stores in the US in March. Like Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, the game will feature dozens of Metallica tracks, videos, photos and trivia. It will make use of the drum kit and microphone accessories added in World Tour, as well as an Expert Plus difficulty for the drums. The game will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
January 15, 200916 yr Nice. The Aerosmith one was pretty decent, storyline was simple, stage set ups were brilliant though but the song choices were the stand outs. Had all their good 70's tracks, and didn't feature any of their crappy MTV-pop ballads. Can't wait to get Metallica!

January 26, 200916 yr Whiplash is included, YES! Call it simple and predictable, but that's still the best Metallica song as far as I'm concerned. It's what thrash is all about!
January 26, 200916 yr Very nice :D Although I must admit, the track I'm looking most forward to play is 'Ace Of Spades' :heehee:
January 26, 200916 yr Author Very nice :D Although I must admit, the track I'm looking most forward to play is 'Ace Of Spades' :heehee: nah for me it's 'One', although it was on GH3, doing it on drums is gonna be amazing and there is gonna be a special 'Expert+' difficulty that requires an exrta pedal. also 'Master of Puppets'.
January 27, 200916 yr nah for me it's 'One', although it was on GH3, doing it on drums is gonna be amazing and there is gonna be a special 'Expert+' difficulty that requires an exrta pedal. also 'Master of Puppets'. It would be 'One' for me but as you mentioned, It's already on GH3. I still haven't got world tour and all that yet :(
January 30, 200916 yr It's funny as it was announced that a game was going to be made based on them in like 2003/4 before the Guitar Hero brand even existed! I wonder if this was it all along? I only have GH2 on PS2 but this might sway on getting GH instead of Rockband! Btw has anyone noticed that bands like Metallica are becoming even more popular because of Guitar Hero?
February 2, 200916 yr Btw has anyone noticed that bands like Metallica are becoming even more popular because of Guitar Hero? Nah, mate, Metallica were always popular.... The "Black" album and "Enter Sandman" were hugely successful, as were "One" and "Harvester of Sorrow", these were Top 5 hits back in the day..... This is back in the late 80s early 90s...... Some bands have probably benefited from Guitar Hero though, I think probably the new Guns N Roses more, but that's a sh!t album anyway, bears no resemblance whatsoever to the classic G N R with Slash, Izzy, etc, which is what Guitar Hero presents G N R as.....

I think what Grandwicky means is a way of getting really good 60's/70's/80's/+ etc. rock tracks and getting them across to a young audience. It's almost like education. One example for me would be finding out about Priestess through GH. :heehee:

Even the current ones like DragonForce have benifited as well.
