Not happy abou the brits . I don't know what they are thinking. Perhaps: sell ouit gigs and over 1,5 mil albums are enough for us, why to do more?

Well, i lost my patience with them , really. Such a pity - a great album and awful promotion. I don't have interest in bands making music as hobby, i much prefer those who are doing it for the love of the music and for creativity. Bands who are not afraid to go in small venues and who have the guts to release material which won't chart too well, but are the songs in which they believe and is the music they want to do. I start to lose my respect for TT...

And i am between the few, but i adore the video. I think it is really iconic and artistic, which i much prefer to glossy, glamour ones (like i expected). In my imagination the video would have been very witty, but the one like it is is very nostalgic, retro and , like i said, iconic. It makes me to remember about those street parties i was, great fun to be there with friends and family and not interested who sings, as long as i felt good  .

TakeThat could really be a group to be interested in if they choose to evolve and to be artistic. But i am afraid it won't be the case - they seem to go on the road of the "entertainment", of pleasing their fans instead of challanging them. They let themselves pushed from these fans opinions and Polydor/Universal, which make me think i am in the false place. If they continue to be so much interested in what the fans wanted, they will soon stop to evolve and be just entertainer like Robbie.

For that i have no time and no interest  .

I'm not even going to bother watching The Brits if they're doing Greatest Day! I've seen it so many times and I'm bored stiff with it now. By the way ... heard the interview and he definitely says that it is GD they're doing! Yawnfest!

Got my 10cc tickets anyway ... so on that score I'm happy!

Who are 10cc?

10cc were one of the biggest acts in the 1970's and into the early 1980's. Made up of Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Lol Creme and Kevin Godley. Graham Gouldman had previously been with 1960's Manchester band The Hollies. Because of their witty lyrics and just plain brilliant melodies they were sometimes compared to the Beach Boys. Some hits of 10cc were:

Donna, Rubber Bullets, The Dean and I (my favourite), Wall Street Shuffle, Art For Art's Sake, Life Is A Minestrone, Good Morning Judge, I'm Not In Love (this is their best known single), I'm Mandy - Fly Me, The Things We Do For Love and Dreadlock Holiday.

The 10cc I'll be going to see only still has in it Graham Gouldman so I'm hoping they'll do some Hollies numbers too. Mike Stevens (Take That's MD and musician on their tours - he plays keyboards, guitar and sax) will be joining them on stage the night I go so its an added bonus.

Only hope it is true! If is such a known show, it should help to bring them in top 20.

That they don't sing UAN at the Brits just hit me :puke2: . I don't see the point of GD live now. With Gary so little available for the promotion, why they are not using the opportunity is beyond my understanding.

I totally agree with you! Apart from the fact that Up All Night is 100% better than Greatest Day ... it is madness NOT to perform UAN at the Brits. As I said in the TTTV site/forum ... no way are they going to win at the award (illustrated - the disdain the Brits have for TT by not even including them in the Brits 09 album) so they may as well use the show for their own ends!

But the Ant & Dec news (if true) is good! Should see the song making the top 10 at least - which is more than I'd hoped for given recent happenings!

PS - do you still want me to get you the CD?

Oh yes!

Forgot to write you the address! I am leaving tomorrow for holidays (2 weeks, so no TT at Brits either, which is quite good at the moment to not explode). I will write tomorrow and please write also yours!

This is another thread where my post was deleted.

This is all about race isn't it.

No ... its because you inevitably bring Rob into the Take That forum and then start slagging Take That off!

I'm going to close this thread in a day or so.

Ant & Dec - Take That - Up All Night

Definitely live ... but Gary looks really uncomfortable. I can honestly only hear Jason on harmony.
