February 25, 200916 yr Carl Barat has a trick up his sleeve so he beats Peter Doherty to the title of Sexiest Male at tonight's (February 25) Shockwaves NME Awards. "I might trip Pete up so he's a bit less pretty," Barat said (Daily Mirror). The w*n**r awards take place tonight.
February 25, 200916 yr Bloc Party had better win best album... well tbh i couldnt care its to much of an indie scene award ceremony for me, although the surprise guests are well good, but you lesser people whoudlnt know who they are. but yeah looking at that album list there is only one good album, and that is Bloc Party. bt i did actually by the NME today but i couldnt help it a free CD with The Futureheads, Art Brut, Alkaline Trio and The Get Up Kids covering The Cure was worth it
February 25, 200916 yr Pete won best solo act! Pete Doherty has won Best Solo Artist at the Shockwaves NME Awards tonight (February 25). The star received his award at the O2 Academy Brixton in London from Blur's rhythm section, Alex James and Dave Rowntree. Doherty watched by his former bandmate in The Libertines, Carl Barat, who was in the room with another of his former groups, Dirty Pretty Things.
