I didn't jump on any bandwagon regarding Paris, I've always despised her, she's easily the most vile celebrity ever.

 

Not that she's ever done anything to warrant her 'celebrity' status, she got famous for making a home made porn movie.

I really think a lot of people waste their energies hating on all of the wrong people. There's not one person in the Paris/Jodie/Jordan/Lucy Pinder mould who I think seems genuinely awful. I am not a fan of Lady GaGa her music is tolerable and she seems an ok person but if a talentless skank like Paris Hilton who has got where she is through porn and having a rich daddy bankrolling her life hates Lady GaGa then Lady GaGa has gone up in my estimation and must be doing something right :)

As for GaGa being arrogant - THANK GOD... aren't we all sick to death of bland, boring, goody-two-shoes pop stars? It's so refreshing to see someone with a bit of spunk about them on the scene again - for too long the charts have been rammed with acts who would look more at home at a Sunday morning Jehovahs Witness' mission than on the stage at some sleazy, sweaty underground concert venue.

 

Pop and rock stars MUST have attitude - so it's brilliant GaGa's brought this back to the forefront.

 

As for Katie Price... shouldn't she be spending her time planting stories about her and her simpleton husband in some low-grade tabloid? Or 'gracing' the pages of some vile glossy fashmagslag rag?

I concur. I'm really quite keen on her. By pop-standards she's such a revelation. It's been too long since we had a forward-thinking, genuinely exciting popstar who has some PASSION, writes, produces, the whole lot. The blonde wigs and odd fashion is all a part of her image I'd say, building up a mysterious veil for herself. That's why she went blonde I think, to help for this personna.

 

The whole idea behind 'The Fame' is brilliant too. She's said it's an ode to celebrity culture, desperation in society to be famous, following what is the modern version of "the American Dream". 'Paparazzi' for example was inspired by Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie etc when they had their mugshots printed after being arrested.

 

As far as I see it she's pretentious not arrogant and tbh I think all the most talented people hold some level of pretentiousness, they two things go hand in hand.
