March 22, 200916 yr Most of us feel sad when someone we know dies, even if they aren't close to us. Even though most of us hadn't actually met Jade, most of us did know who she was and enough about her for her illness and death to be of interest to us. It's not that Jade's death is more sad than any other, it's that she is known to more people so more people will be talking about it. I never much liked Jade, but she never deserved the most hateful stuff thrown at her by the press, and most of those in the press know it. That's the pig stuff thrown at her during her first BB stint or the disproportionate reaction to her time on Celebrity BB. Those involved probably feel guilty, and quite rightly so. Jade's illness and death doesn't merit all of the attention it's got either, but for the main part, the extra headlines she's got are only replacing photos of Chanelle's bum on the Daily Star or Kerry and Jordan bitching about each other and anyone else they can think of. With the exception of today, the serious news sources have managed to deliver news as normal most of the time.
March 22, 200916 yr Exactly - and Jade's press has actually seen a surge in women being checked out for cancer! You can't tell me THAT's a bad thing...
March 22, 200916 yr Prime Minister Gordon Brown said he was "deeply saddened" by the news and described Goody as "a courageous woman both in life and death". "The whole country has admired her determination to provide a bright future for her children. "She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her and her family can be extremely proud of the work she has done to raise awareness of cervical cancer, which will benefit thousands of women across the UK." Whole-heartedly agree with what Gordon says :)
March 22, 200916 yr I feel absolutely AWFUL for her sons and people close to her, mothers day is a horrible day to die on! :( RIP.
March 22, 200916 yr Whole-heartedly agree with what Gordon says :) What a load of horse $h!t from Brown, pathetic He comes up with all these crocodile tears and weasel words about "benefitting thousands of women across the UK" yet he himself has killed hundreds of people with cancer if not thousands with his failure to tackle the "Postcode Lottery" Did he say those words about Jane Tomlinson when she died ? a selfless and courageous woman who did triathlons and marathons for cancer awareness and raising money for cancer charities when she was already terminally ill and raised MILLIONS for cancer, bet he didn't, he is bandwagon jumping  Jade has never done anything personally to campaign against cancer, did she set up a cancer fund or make public statements about anything ? no, instead she hired a notorious publicist to milk her illness financially for all its worth, the polar opposite to Jane Tomlinson Brown really is vermin
March 22, 200916 yr I'm actually quite shocked by some people's reactions. My thoughts go out to all of Jade's family, especially her two children. However controversial, I believe she had a good heart and I am genuinely saddened to hear this news, no one deserves to die so young and of such a horrific disease as cancer. I hope her final moments were peaceful. A good heart...?? You're kidding right... Did you just totally miss the way she conducted herself on BB, the racist bullying, etc...? I dont call any of that sh!t "good hearted...". You want a celeb with a real good heart..? I suggest you look to Shakira and what she's done for THOUSANDS of poor slum kids in Latin America in getting education for them, decent food in their bellies, etc, and she's been doing this with very little fanfare since she was 18 years old..... Just a LITTLE more constructive and positive and meaningful to peoples' lives than sitting on your arse on a sofa, spouting racist cr@p and shouting at people left, right and centre and being a total bloody lout-ette..... Let Max Clifford and the sodding "Living" channel go to Colombia and big up Shaki, she TRULY deserves it if anyone does, and to hell with the likes of brain dead BB contestants and Cowell/Walsh puppets..... The likes of Shakira are probably the greatest of us, because they do what they do for no real reward (in fact, she's actually given about $40 million of her own money to establish her education projects) other than the satisfaction of seeing their hard work actually happen... If she were to die tragically of cancer, I think I truly would shed a tear for her, because what is in her heart is pure and real, and not so much bullsh!t purely designed to make her money and good PR....

I'm not arguing that she was a bully, she was. Though I believe none of it was with racist intentions, she may have been too stupid to realise what she was getting into, but I strongly believe it was NOT racist. Why are you all being such idiots anyway? Yes, 185,000 people a year die of cancer and I partly agree that one person shouldn't be dominated - i felt the same about bloody Maddie McCann... but tbh, her press has actually encouraged a HELL of alot of women to get checked! Try telling me THAT's a bad thing? You may not like her, but her loss is tragic for her two sons who probably have fuck all idea what is going on...

He's as bad as that c/unt Uribe in Colombia who's basically riding in on the back of what Shakira's doing in order to make political capital... Politicians.... Same the whole world bloody over innit....? Fukkin' vermin, the lot of them..... <_<

Exactly, she became famous for flashing her "kebab" on tv, spouting racist $h!te, screeching and shouting and swearing like a banshee, displaying incredibly low levels of general knowledge and so on, a total poster child for the chav/lager lout/ladette/club 18-30 culture that has afflicted our society, a society where people are worshipped for getting their tits out, having boob jobs, shagging footballers, appearing on reality tv shows etc whereas people with talent who are prepared to put in hard work and be successes are sneered at and derided with contempt like that University Challenge contestant, like Andrew Murray is slagged off for being "boring" and so on Jade represented all that was wrong about society, while her passing in these circumstances is sad I hope we will never see her like again on our screens

March 22, 200916 yr People can change, remember? <_< I dont think she really did change all that much though mate.... She never did anything for anyone other than herself at the end of the day... It was pretty much all "me, me, me, the kids....". I did NOT see her doing what the likes of Jane Tomlinson or Caron Keating did..... All the power of the media at her disposal, and what does she do.....? Does she lambast Gordon Broon's disgusting "postcode lottery", does she lambast the utter incompetency and inconsistencies in NHS care where cancer is concerned....? No, she has a fukkin' media wedding to a piece of lowlife chav scum like Jack Tweed, purely for the money..... As for this supposed "great thing" she did in getting young girls to go for cervical screening... Yeah, great, go get the screening, and, god forbid if any of these girls actually have cancer and can't get the proper care because they're not in the "right" post-code and are unable to get the proper drugs because of the total inconsistencies in how some NHS trusts dispense care.... Have you lot not even been watching the bloody news about that Hospital in Stafford.... FUKKIN' DISGUSTING, just totally punctuates every single point that me and Craig have been making on this issue........ And Gordon Broon is saying FUKK ALL about it...... <_< <_<
March 22, 200916 yr  Seems you've been bought in by the media on that one Grim. No, I was "bought in" by the evidence of my own eyes mate.... I consider her remarks to Shilpa to be totally offensive, derogatory and racist..... Shilpa Shetty has 1000 times more class, dignity and self-respect......Oh, and some actual TALENT as well.... Remember talent....? Nah, you probably dont, but "talent" was that thing that you actually had to have in order to be a celeb over 20 years ago, pre-Big Brother, Reality telly, X-Factor, etc, before we became this piece of sh!t, dumbed down "culture" we are now.... Christ, even the average PWL puppet had more talent than the average BB contestant......
March 22, 200916 yr I don't think Jade was particularly racist in that incident either, she just wasn't careful about what she was saying on national TV. Besides, that Danielle Lloyd troll was a lot worse and she seemed to get away with it at the time.

Besides, that Danielle Lloyd troll was a lot worse and she seemed to get away with it at the time. Shilpa Poppadom is racist, that is mocking her culture and also she copied an Indian accent more than once to make points, she was not doing it as some parody she was doing it to insult Shetty, as far as I am concerned she was being racist, if she was not genuinely racist then was was pig ignorant and thoughtless on CBB
March 22, 200916 yr I couldn't believe it when my mum told me this morning she had passed away. R.I.P Jade :(
March 22, 200916 yr In a statement from Mumbai, Shetty said: "I am deeply saddened but I am glad Jade is out of pain and that she died peacefully with her family around her." Cancer Research UK chief executive Harpal Kumar said: "Her brave battle with an aggressive form of cervical cancer has received widespread public attention and encouraged thousands of women to seek advice on how to prevent the disease. "She has done a great public service by raising awareness of the importance of screening during her last few months of life." :)
