Thank god for forums like this one

Another one I use no discussion about Jade Goody's life or conduct or any issues related to Jade's life are allowed to be discussed, anyone who raises any points about Jade has been threatened with an immediate ban

It is good that there are places like this where a warts and all discussion of someone's life and death is allowed

That is simply ludicrous.... What's the name of that Forum mate....? The "Let's all Bum Jade and totally airbrush the facts" Forum......? Christ, that sounds like the sort of revisionism that would make Goebbels or Stalin proud....

Well, you're more than welcome to copy and paste my "revisionism that would make Goebbels or Stalin proud" comment with regards to Jade on that forum mate....

I would just LOVE to know what reaction it would get.......

Nothing like the odd conversational hand grenade is there......?

Wow that was pretty swift and what a day to die on. It’ll be a pretty poignant day for those kids from now on with that association.

The environment in ones formative years goes a long way to shaping the character of that person. In Jades case her background was pretty poor and no offence but she wasn’t particularly gifted in the IQ department either. I think a lot of the ‘racism’ on her part was down to ignorance rather than malice.

Did he say those words about Jane Tomlinson when she died ? a selfless and courageous woman who did triathlons and marathons for cancer awareness and raising money for cancer charities when she was already terminally ill and raised MILLIONS for cancer, bet he didn't, he is bandwagon jumping

What's worse, bandwagon jumping or throwing allegations about because you don't like someone? Anyway, a very quick google search using the terms "Jane Tomlison" and "Gordon Brown" throw this up:

The Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, said: "Jane's mission in life was a simple one: to make the most of every day and to help others, and she not only achieved that several times over, but inspired millions of others along the way. We will remember her amazing spirit and strength and that exceptional charity work, and she will be a daily inspiration to our generation to fight on against the terrible scourge of cancer."

I hope that makes you feel a bit better, or are you enjoying being outraged too much for that?

I remember how Jane, like Jade, was accused of using her cancer for attention or indeed fabricating the whole affair. You might hate Jade, you might think the PM is an idiot, but it's insulting to Jane's story to treat her as nothing more than a name to band about in one of your rants. Perhaps the fact that you are aware of what the PM said about Jade, but not what he said about Jane says more about what sort of news stories interest you and which media outlets you read?

I don't buy any papers, occasionally if I am going on a train journey I might buy the Telegraph or the Times but I would say I buy maybe 15-20 newspapers a year

I do not personally hate Jade Goody, she had her faults and no amount of dying should airbrush those faults from history but I do NOT hate her, indeed twice already today maybe 3 times in this thread I have said that her death is sad, I also said 2 pages back that it is good she is no longer suffering, I will find the direct link to the post if you want, wouild I say those things if I HATED Jade ? no, my "rants" have not been about her as such they have been about things like the postcode lottery, max clifford, the celebrity culture and so on and all those things are relevant to Jade situation

I hate Gordon Brown, I hate Robert Mugabe, I hate Dimitar Berbatov, I hate Kyle Leonard, I hate Tony Blair, I hate George W Bush, I hate Sol Campbell etc etc I am not a "Jade Goody hater"

Nice post, shame it's utterly irrelevant and totally misses the point that me and Craig are both trying to make about the hypocrisy of Broon and Nu Labor in the way that this despicable Govt has presided over a system of NHS post code lotteries, totally inconsistent care as far as cancer goes from one NHS trust to the next, and just last week the revelations regarding the hospital in Stafford whose duty of care to patients took a very poor second place to chasing admin targets and Foundation status.... THIS is the reality of Nu Labor's "legacy" of how it's administered the NHS, and no, I dont think for a moment that the Tories would do any better, they started the rot, but Nu Labor has had the past 12 FUKKIN' YEARS since 1997 to actually do something about it, and frankly, all these b'astards have done is make things even WORSE...... Why the fukk should people have to run marathons and raise money to provide the things that WE ARE SUPPOSEDLY PAYING OUR TAXES/NI FOR???????????? Why the fukk am I spending my taxes on a war in Iraq or bailing out b'astards like Fred fukkin' Goodwin when these disgusting discrepancies exist within our NHS system.....

THAT is why myself and Craig (and quite a few others I'll bet) find the weasel words of Gordon fukkin' Brown so objectionable, vile and despicable...... <_<

Aww R.I.P. Jade. For some reason it seemed inevitable that she'd die around this time. I saw an article saying that her boys had made her Mothers Day cards and how it would be unlikely that she got to read them and I thought "I bet she dies on Mothers Day, or on the Saturday." I hope she got to see them early. :(

I'll agree with Aly on the Big Brother race row, what Jade said was bad but I think she was just being ignorant. Danielle Lloyd, on the other hand, was worse with her "she should f*** off home" comment and she was the only one out of the three main participants that managed to bounce back off it. Jo and (pre-cancer) Jade were never forgiven, yet Danielle was.

Exactly

Instead of making soundbites and shedding crocodile tears so that he can get a good write up in The Sun he should be doing all he can to end this postcode lottery, he can preach all he wants about how Jade has raised awareness of cervical cancer but his postcode lottery is going to kill many of those that get cervical cancer so his soundbites are total hot air and that is why ranted at him earlier

"Just being ignorant" is absolutely NO excuse in my eyes... Who made her ignorant in the first place...? SHE did... UK has one of the best education systems in the world.... Kids in Africa, Asia and Latin America are literally dying in some cases to gain the advantages that so many of our own people in UK just pish up a wall..... Yeah, "anti-intellectualism is the new black though innit....?", the Tabloids want us all to be thick and pig-sh!t ignorant.....

As for Danielle Lloyd, well I certainly will not defend her for a minute, but, er, sorry, but is SHE the one who's been getting totally bummed for the past few months....? Is she the one who's been whoring herself around to anyone who'll buy into her bullsh!t.....? Is she the one who had a tacky Max-Clifford promoted Media wedding a few weeks back....? That would be NO to all three questions..... No one is under any kind of illusions as to the type of person Danielle Lloyd is, but god, there sure is a sh!tload of Goebbels-style revisionism going on where Jade fukkin' Godly is concerned.....

No, but she's not the one who was suffering from cancer either, is she?

Sad but true

A University Challenge contestant who got nearly everything right in the series was ridiculed in the media and called all sorts of derogatory names on message boards for the crime of being intelligent and having knowledge yet the media and the public worship the likes of Jade Goody, Jodie Marsh, Wayne Rooney's wife who had or have the intelligence of the typical garden slug, that is one of the things that I hate about modern society, we should be celebrating the achievements of the intelligent hard working uni student and being ashamed of brainless chavs but the media have it as the other way round

So, what you're saying is, we'll all start kissing her arse if she's diagnosed with cancer then, yeah.....? Not me mate, unless she did some pretty fukkin' MAJOR stuff for charity or stood on a platform to destroy Gordon Broon.....

They certainly do.... What exactly was the whole "controversy" about anyway.....? Was she taking a year out or summat...? I mean, she actually went to the university concerned, at the very least, she was an alumnus....., she had definite ties to the university.....
