Walsh 'ready' to launch new girl band

By David Balls, Entertainment Reporter

Source: digitalspy

Louis Walsh has announced that he is ready to launch his new girlband.

The X Factor judge is currently working on securing a record contract for the Irish five-piece and claims that things are "looking great".

"I've organised a couple of meetings with some record executives for the start of next month, there's been plenty of interest in the girls so I expect to see something happening there shortly," he told The Irish Herald.

"They're five very talented girls and they all look great together. They also have plenty of ambition, so getting a deal for them shouldn't prove too much of a problem. I was just too busy before now with X Factor and everything else but the next few months will see things moving for them."

The band, who have yet to be given a name, made their debut on Irish television late last year.

The Saturdays recently claimed that the music manager was threatening them by saying his girlband would be in direct competition with the 'Issues' singers.

Maybe the Saturdays will get some slack on here then. I'm sure the Saturdays haters will hate anything Louis Walsh launches a whole lot more.

Why does Louis seem to have a rule that he can only manage bands if they're Irish?

Yuck at the Louis Walsh connection. Im not holding out much hope for anything decent tbh.
didn't Louis Walsh manage the Irish girlband Bellefire? as much as I liked them, they weren't exactly a huge success...
I've already seen a pic of em. Girls Aloud p.2, but rougher.

I think to myself... FeMail, or whoever they were?

Louis, your artists have less talent than a insect with its head missing

he has had his fair amount of slops so it will be interesting to seee what happens here,,i must say though i loved Bellefire and its such a shame they didnt do well,i bought all the isngles and for me they were so differnet to many of the other girlbands around

Louis' Girls Told To Sex It Up

05 Jul 2009 by Villy

Louis Walsh's new girlband have been told to sex things up if they want to knock Girls Aloud off the top of the charts.

Kian Egan's wife Jodi Albert (25), You're A Star runner-up Sharon Condon (23) and newbies Corrina Durran (22), Leigh Learmont (19) and Kasey Smith (19) may have bagged a place in the new group but the unnamed band have been told to raunch up their image.

Speaking to Scandal, Louis Walsh said: "Girls Aloud are the front runners and they are top of the charts.

"But my girls have real raw talent and I think they can be bigger.

"They are coming up with a name but what is more important is the image and I think with work they can be hotter and sexier than them."

Caroline Corr will pen girlband's debut

16 Jun 2009

By Melanie Finn

Caroline Corr is going to be making beautiful music with Louis Walsh's new girlband.

She is reported to have agreed to help the group in their bid for stardom and has set her mind to writing their first single.

Louis approached her weeks ago to help out his sexy fivesome as they set their sights on becoming the new Girls Aloud.

Unleashing

And this week, Caroline has confirmed that she would love to help them out by penning them a funky pop song.

"Caroline has a proven track record in the music industry and knows exactly what it takes to make a hit record. Louis is delighted that she has agreed to help out his new band. He's taking his time with them as he wants to get everything right before unleashing them on the market," said an insider.

Although they were formed last year following a national search, the fivesome have yet to release any new music.

Made up of band members Kasey Smith, Corina Duran, Sharon Condon, Jodi Albert and Leanne Moore, the girls got a considerable boost recently after being signed up to Universal, the same label as U2.

The five aspiring stars were all so surprised after being offered the deal by top music execs in London that they instantly burst into tears, says Louis.

The girls have already made their debut performance on TV after appearing on the Late Late Show shortly before Christmas, but have kept a low profile since.

Honymoon

The band members were all invited to Barbados last month to see Jodi Albert tie the knot with Westlife star Kian Egan, who co-manages the band with Louis.

But they were so determined to start work on building the band, and ensuring they get their sound and look just right, that the couple flew back early from their honeymoon to concentrate on the group.

Sorry, but I just had to stop that about half way through...... I thought I may die laughing.....

This is fukkin' AWFUL.... You could almost imagine the bloody Nolan Sisters doing this 25 years ago... Or a Barbara Dickson and Bonnie Tyler "tough bird" duet or summat back in '83........

Dearie dear... Is Louis Walsh actually serious....???? In a world where mainstream pop in 2009 has pretty much been re-written by Lady GaGa, P!nk and others, he's seriously going to fob us off with this sh!t that even Pete Waterman would probably have thought twice about.......   Oh, my splitting sides.......

UNNAMED GIRLBAND FACING NEW COMPETITION

After the new girlband Industry that features Michelle McGrath there’s another new girlband has been formed.

Jodi Albert’s unnamed girlband is facing competiton from Bubble G. Bubble G. look set to be the new girl group on the scene after gaining backing from media mogul Max Clifford, having man of the moment, Jack Tweed in their new video and have been hanging out with their new best mates JLS.

Bubble G are a new and unique Pop/RnB girl group, pumping out a fresh interpretation and fusion of dance beats, urban undertones and RnB flair all mixed with fresh, youthful, edgy pop vocals.

Amidst this combination of sounds, a very smooth groove emerges. The band’s overall image is fun, quirky and bright with a touch of glamour - Pop with a difference.

One of the girls attended the Billy Barry Stage School where Bryan McFadden, Samantha Mumba and Mikey from Boyzone were also pupils and she even did backing vocals on a Westlife track.

Well, that's two reasons to hate them right there....

Why the hell are they covering this Dixie Chicks song ? It was released in like 2004

Oh look. Westlife have started growing their hair. This is awful, Jodie Albert should never be allowed to open her mouth again, let alone murder a fantastic Dixie Chicks song. Oh god, it gets worse doesnt it.

Oh good, and now we have 2 of these groups! Jesus, and one of them has connections to Max Clifford/Jack Tweed, how the hell can that be a positive thing!

It's like a pack of drunk chav bints down the Dog and Duck Karaoke on a Saturday night innit.....? God, I didn't even recognise it as a Dixie Chicks song, I mean, it was so APPAULING I had to turn it off half way through, whereas Dixie Chicks are kind of...alright if you like that sort of thing..... ^_^

And indeed, how on Earth can links to Clifford and Tweed be at all a good thing......
