I'm wondering something... In how many days usually things you bought online come to your address?

Great news! Well done Nada's brother! :cheer:

Oh I don't think any of us will get the tickets until a couple of weeks before the concert, Nada. It might be different in Croatia but over here the tickets aren't usually printed until a few weeks before the gig (I think it's to prevent people forging them).

Your brother should have received a confirmation E-Mail but that's all he'll get at the moment I expect.

Are you sitting or standing Nada?

Any word on Robbieca?

U2 concert in Croatia sold out in 12 hours

The Associated Press

Published: March 27, 2009

ZAGREB, Croatia: Tickets for U2's first-ever concert in Croatia sold out in 12 hours Friday, organizers said.

Hundreds of people waited outside stores overnight in freezing temperatures for a chance to buy tickets to the Aug. 11 event.

Thousands of others logged onto the authorized seller's Web site, overloading the server and causing it to go down for a few hours.

"We've never seen anything like that in our career," said Maja Valjak from the Lupa Promotion, a concert organizer for several years. She said organizers hoped to negotiate another concert in Zagreb.

The 63,000 tickets were priced at 250-2,000 kuna ($45-$356). They went on sale online at midnight and at 9 a.m. (0800 GMT) in stores. The concert was sold out at noon.

Ksenija Pavlic, a 36-year-old mother of two, managed to get tickets online at 4 a.m. — after four hours of trying. "I've been waiting for this all my life, and I wasn't ready to miss it!"

Zagreb U2 concert sold out in 12 hours

Croatian Times

All 63,000 tickets for U2’s Zagreb concert were sold in fewer than 12 hours today (Fri).

Tickets went on sale online from 00:01am and from 9 am at CD-shops and tourist agencies.

Because of extremely-large interest in the concert, the www.ticketpro.hr server went down several times during the night and early in the morning.

Many people who remained in front of ticket shops all night had to go home without tickets in the morning.

Many fans arrived in Zagreb from other Croatian cities by 7 pm on Thursday and camped in front of shops. Most of them were students who had brought blankets, food, drinks and reading material.

According to Lupa promotion agency, 7,000 tickets were sold in the first three hours.

U2’s concert will be held on 10 August at Maksimir stadium in Zagreb.

Concert organizers are said to be trying to negotiate an additional U2 concert in Zagreb.

I know everything, I watched everything on tv today! OMG, I'm so happy! :yahoo:

My brother bought them on 5 a.m. Yes, he received email with explained way how to pay them, and they did that today!

Here's a bit different situation, I spoke with my aunt and tickets should arrive in next few days.

I have read in today's local newspaper, that tickets will go on sale 18 April for U2's concert stop in Tampa, Florida on 9 October......I highly doubt I'll be able to afford tickets of any kind, since, I also doubt I'll be working any time soon to get tickets....

That's probably because here people still are buying tickets on sale places in city, not only on internet. So, when they have tickets, why not to deliver them to people who bought it on internet also.

You can see HERE how people were waiting to buy ticket in Croatia. Half of the tickets were sold during night on internet. And luckily my brother didn't sleep that night at all.

I think I won't be able to show you a picture, because tickets will arrive on my aunt's address. That's because postage is cheaper on that way. And even I will probably see them day before concert. :D

On that link I posted you can see lucky people holding their ticket!

There's still no joy in Biggyville on the jobs front.....

I'ts 2 months now I've been out....no relief from the government here, monetarily, as they seem to deem it I receive no unemployment compensation of any kind...and, I'm at the point now where my bank accounts are depleted.....looks like I'll have to start selling off my collection of another Irish singer I like a lot, in an effort to try to help pay bills.....

You can't claim any form of Social Security Biggie? :o

Social Security and unemployment compensation are 2 separate entities here in the US...besides, I'm too young to collect social security, unless I become totally, permanently disabled....even then, it wouldn't be much....it depends on age, and/or disability....

Oh

So why don't you qualify for the unemployment thing?
