July 10, 200916 yr Author http://www.411mania.com/music/news/109787/...ur-Together.htm U2 And The Black Eyed Peas To Tour Together Posted by Aaron Mayagoitia on 07.10.2009 Fergie is scared about the pairing... It has been announced that U2 will be joined by The Black Eyed Peas during the US leg of the Irish rockers' current world tour. U2 will come to America in October '09. However, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie is scared to open for the rockers' audience because they may not be into the Peas' music. She said: "We're gonna have to work for it. The crowd are gonna have their arms folded at the start." ( and at the end? :D ) Credit: Music-News.com
July 10, 200916 yr  Thankfully the Peas won't be at Dublin  Although I have to endure Glasvegas again. Saw them support Oasis in Slane last month. They were beyond awful. Didnt even sing the only song I know by them - Geraldine. No-one even clapped when they finished each song, so to get cheers they kept saying "Oasis fans" and sang part of Live Forever  I am going to see The Boss tomorrow. I cannot wait :cheer:
July 10, 200916 yr Apparently the tour has already grossed $300m :o That is only for the 44 dates in the first leg. By the time they finish with the 100+ gigs it is expected to overtake the Stones last tour as the highest grossing of all time :D
July 10, 200916 yr Author Scooooottttyyyyyy :cheer: Glasvegas are $h!te then? :o :( I'm going to see Brucie on Tuesday :w00t:
July 10, 200916 yr Yeah, very bad. Screchy singing and samey annoying songs :smoke: Forgot you were going to Bruce too :o It is going to be amazing. Did you see his Glasto performance. It was brilliant. His setlist changes all the time though. As long as he sings Badlands, The River, The Rising, Lonsome Day, Thunder Road, Born To Run, Glory Days, American Land and Dancing In The Dark I will be happy :D It starts at half 7 here, so obviously he will be doing the usual 3 hour, 25-30 song set :smoke:
July 10, 200916 yr ^ He's ok. I wouldn't go to his concert, songs which I heard on tv are ok. :D I hope U2 will beat Stones!!! :w00t:
July 10, 200916 yr You would be amazedhow amazing he is live Nada. Apart from Robbie, I dont think there is a single solo live performer in the world who can put on a show as good as Bruce. He gives such great value for money by playing for ages and puts so much energy into the performances. He has more energy then 90% of singers in their 20's and he is nearly 60
July 10, 200916 yr Author 7.30 start here as well. No support. Just hope it stays dry. The forecast ain't great <_<
July 10, 200916 yr Author I want Badlands The Rising Hungry Heart Sherry Darlin' Born to Run Glory Days Dancin in the Dark Because the Night
July 12, 200916 yr Author Nooooooooooooo!!!!! :o :o :o http://www.independent.ie/lifestyle/u2-cro...ng-1818073.html U2 Croker gigs have a bit missing By Pat Fitzpatrick Sunday July 12 2009 APPARENTLY, when he heard Bono singing I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Boy George, in reference to Larry Mullen, was moved to suggest he might try looking behind him. Bono might get a shock of a different kind if he looks behind him at the band's 360 tour gigs in Croke Park later this month, because there will be nobody there. :o :o :o U2 fans were cranky last week with the news that the 360 degree view of the stage available to fans in Barcelona would be reduced by a quarter in Dublin, as Hill 16 would remain closed. Now that's a cutback, and the worry now is that U2 will bring a Bord Snip mindset to other aspects of the show. Maybe they will arrive on stage and announce that Adam Clayton was given the night off, so could the crowd hum along in a low, rhythmical fashion. What would be the reaction if Bono pruned his trademark woo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-baaaaby down to a woo-hoo and sing the rest yourselves? The stunt of ringing the US president could be revived but will Bono mortify us by asking Obama to accept reverse charges? The biggest worry of course is that, due to the swingeing cutbacks, Bono will only be able to save part of the world during the show. Just when his fans start to think they could listen to him all night banging on about the benefits of debt forgiveness for sub-Saharan Africa, Edge hisses over that they're going to miss the last bus to Killiney if he doesn't launch into Magnificent and wind up the show. It could be worse of course. The Croke Park gigs might go from 360 to 270 to 0, if the electricians decide it's in the national interest to pull the plug. Pat Fitzpatrick - Pat Fitzpatrick
July 12, 200916 yr Author Scotty? Why is this? What's so different about Croker which makes it unsuitable for 360?
July 18, 200916 yr Bloody ridiculous :o The suspect the reason is due to Hill 16. What I dont get it why they don't let people stand on the hill. If they can''t do that then fine, put the stage in the middle of the stadium, where it is meant to be,, and let people on the pitch stand around it. Really makes no sence, although I assume it will still be the same stage, so isnt going to ruin the show but it is still just plain silly. Rumours have been going around that they are going to come back to Dublin on the next European leg next year and perform in the new Landsdown Rd (Aviva Stadium) when completed in April 2010 - they will be able to have the 360 thingy to work there I assume. I am confused now though. Remember the article a while back saying due to the stage, an extra 15,000 willl fit in the stadium? Well will that still be the case? It said they will break the Croker record with 95,000 people - this wont be happening now I assume? Btw, I was looking up Bruce''s tour, and he made nearly $9m from the two Dublin shows with 80,000 people there, while in Sweden, despite there being 17,000 more people, he made a million less :o Why are we ripped off more than anywhere else? €91 for standing and almost €100 for sitting. :smoke: And he harps on about the 'hard times'. Same goes for U2 with their sitting tickets for a €200+. Although at least they havew 30 quid tickets.
July 19, 200916 yr Author Because you Oirish have so much more money than the rest of us. Everyone knows that. I've been to Oirland. I couldn't even afford a packet of peanuts :(
July 21, 200915 yr Yes, and as you cans ee from that pic, people thousands stand there during matches, so what is the issue? If there is one, then it still doesnt explain why the stage cant be put in the middle and people stand on the pitch to make it 360. It is just so silly and makes no sence.
