July 25, 200915 yr Well, last night was absolutely amazing  I will do my full review after I see them on Monday. And no, am not going tonight sadly as it is sold out. There are still production seats for Monday (which are a rip off which is why they are not selling) - but none for Sat. I will say that the stage is beyond amazing - everyone was just in awe of it and all the different things it can do. It is like a 5th member of the band  The highlights were Magnificent, One, Bad, With Or Without You, Pride, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Streets, Walk On and Vertigo. They were all incredible to say the least. My voice is gone from singing so much  Every single person with seats were standing for the entire concert :o Never have I seen that before  Oh and the remix of Crazy was not as bad as I expected. Really fit in well actually :o There were no big speeches thankfully, but there was a vid of Desmond Tutu talking about something, but everyone was just laughing at it because of the way his head came up and he started shouting. It really did not work and was like something out of a comedy

July 25, 200915 yr I'm mildly surprised they did The Auld Triangle.....since it's more a traditional Irish song, about being in prison, and dreaming to be elsewhere....at least, that's the song I'm thinking of here...maybe I'm wrong....
July 25, 200915 yr I've never heard of that song before G00pOxho5KU How awesome does that stage look :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

August 3, 200915 yr jenni has just seen them   so that means it's Jasna and Nada next I think :cheer: :cheer:
August 3, 200915 yr Monday was brilliant. I was quite close to the stage, so the atmosphere was electric. They rehearsed New Years Day, I Will Follow, Electrical Storm and Drowning Man before the gig, but only played NYD. It was so great to hear it but I have to say i went away from the gig a little dissapointed. Several papers had said U2 were going to do another encore, and were willing to be fined €80,000 for the last night, but they just did the standard, Ultoviolet, WOWY, MOS encore and left after a little over 2 hours, which I was quite annoyed with. They should've done something special on the last night as oppose to the standard setlist. Out Of Control or I Will Follow would've been great, considering they are their first singles. Their performance was not as good as Fri I have to say. Their energy was not as good, as Bono only came over the bridge to the crowd once or twice, but it was still a brilliant gig.
August 4, 200915 yr Author One of the reviews I read said Old Bonio was sounding a bit hoarse the other night in Sweden. :o
September 30, 200915 yr Author http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...-every-day.html U2 show costs £470k each day http://i33.tinypic.com/25rz2h5.jpg Rock shock ... U2's amazing show costs a fortune to stage U2's world tour is so costly to stage it has still not made a profit despite kicking off three months and 33 gigs ago, band manager PAUL McGUINNESS admits. The 360° Tour's show centres on a huge stage called The Claw and costs the Irish rockers £470,000 A DAY to run - whether or not they are playing. That adds up to a bill of more than £40MILLION so far. The band have played 24 concerts across Europe and nine in North America since opening in Barcelona on June 30. But they are only now starting to make money. Paul says: "The engineering problems are enormous and costly. "Whether we're playing or not, the daily overhead is about £470,000. "That's just to have the crew on the payroll, rent the trucks and all that. There are about 200 trucks in total, including merchandise and catering." I don't feel too sorry for frontman BONO, guitarist THE EDGE, bassist ADAM CLAYTON and drummer LARRY MULLEN. After all, they will be touring for at least another year, with further dates in North America this year then more in Europe in 2010. That's a lot of profit still to be made. :o :o :o
September 30, 200915 yr Author http://www.xfm.co.uk/news/2009/u2-tour-still-not-in-profit U2 Tour "Still Not In Profit" Despite massive ticket sales the 360° shows are still not in the black... It's generated £205 million in ticket sales so far - but U2’s 360° Tour still hasn't made a profit. The band’s manager Paul McGuinness says the tour's not broken even yet - because it costs more than £500,000 a day to run. "The engineering problems are enormous and costly," he told The Sun. "Whether we're playing or not, the daily overhead is about £470,000. That's just to have the crew on the payroll, rent the trucks and all that. There are about 200 trucks in total, including merchandise and catering." The band have extended the tour to September 201
