Jamelia has vowed to return to her old sound when she records her fourth studio album.

 

The R&B singer revealed that she is hoping to repeat the success of her 2003 disc Thank You after its 2006 follow-up Walk With Me failed to set the charts alight.

 

Speaking to Take 5 magazine, the star confirmed: "I'm going back to the sort of stuff I did on Thank You, more pop stuff and more R&B."

 

Asked if she will travel to the US to work on the album, she replied: "I'm going there to do some of it. But I always maintain my links with Britain. I'm proud to be British and love living here."

 

Jamelia recently expressed a desire to work with Beyoncé in the future.

Does she have a record deal again now?

^ not as far as i know.

 

i do know that she's been offered deals from very popular labels - including US. but she says she wants to play this one really close to the chest and keep everything schtum. she doesn't want to make a wrong move on the label front.

 

but she said we have no need to worry about a label, as she knows what she's doing and will not go with any tom, dick or harry.
