The former Culture Club frontman - real name George O'Dowd - was sentenced to serve 15 months in prison last month (Jan09) for chaining Norwegian Audun Carlsen to a hook in a bedroom at his East London apartment in April 2007. He had planned to team up with Williams to work on the Angels hitmaker's forthcoming album - but his spell behind bars put an end to the collaboration. Instead, the 47-year-old is working on tracks for the singer from his jail cell. A source tells The Sun, "Robbie had tapped up George to write some tracks for his new album. They had intended to work together on the songs together, but they can't do that now. "George has neglected his song-writing and is determined to hone his skills again. Without the distractions of the outside world he is bidding to wirte Rob a killer ballad from behind bars."

The pair had intended to collaborate in person, but that hasn’t proved possible after the former CULTURE CLUB singer was sent down for chaining a rent boy to a radiator in his flat. The tubby star now has a 15-month stretch in Bury St Edmunds’ nick in Suffolk to concentrate on his song craft. A source said: “Robbie had tapped up George to write some tracks for his new album. They had intended to work on the songs together, but they can’t do that now. “George has neglected his song-writing and is determined to hone his skills again. Without the distractions of the outside world he is bidding to write Rob a killer ballad from behind bars.” After the flop of 2007’s Rudebox, Rob needs a good comeback. He’s already collaborated with MARK RONSON and THE BLOCKHEADS’ CHAZ JANKEL on the disc, so it’s looking good... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...icle2224841.ece more: http://www.showbizspy.com/article/181993/b...robbie-williams http://www.star-magazine.co.uk/posts/missing
