They have confirmed that they are 'parting ways' after this single and tour.

so looks we have at least 2 new solo albums to look forward to in the mean time then after that we have the girls aloud album to look forward to looks like we wont be short on new material and news to talk about

I'm sort of excited for the solo stuff, but sort of want the year to fly through for even more GA, and another year for another tour :heart:

I think there is a chance they will do a Destiny's Child and comeback for 1 studio album and then a GH then go solo again and later find out that they have to do another album.

They are definately gona be missed for a while.

 

I am looking forward to a break though, it'll be nice to see them come back massive after taking a bit of time out.

this planned break till 2010 can be a huge positive for them, gives the public a short time to miss them, while the solo careers keep their names high!

 

i just hope the girls trying solo albums (sarah, cheryl and nadine i think) are getting great material, cause the public will be harsher on their solo music than the bands stuff...

 

funny enough nicola and kim are the albums i most want, i really really hope nicola does an album one day, i love her voice esp in the loving kind! memory of you has created a love for kim!

Since I joined the GA clan in 2007 (after Call the Shots reached the States), I've had a thing for Kimberley.

 

In this break, I hope she follows a course of action that will allow her to get some recognition for her talent. Just listen to Memory of You and try to deny this girl some love...I dare you.

I hope they will actually come back together after their solo projects. :unsure:

Well the second part of them being bigger than ever would be brilliant but the first part not so much, im really not all that bothered about Cheryl's solo matieral, heck i'd even prefer some Nadine solo songs but it's the Nicola solo album that i want.

I would prefer no solo albums to be honest and instead concentrate on the net girls aloud album

^Ah yes, i'll agree with that. Like i said before we should lock them in a room and not let them out until they agree to not do solo albums.

i would hate for the solo projects to end up like what happened with boyzone where their fans waited years for a comeback, girls aloud as a band are huge now and i think they are daft not to build n that as solo carerrs frfom most bands are very fickle and then they run the chance of reforming as solo careers didt do well eg spice girls, all saints,east 17,blue,etc

As much as i like cheryl, i worry about her singing an entire album on her own.

 

She can really mess up live sometimes and she is only singing odd lines here and there - cant imagine what a full song might sound like.

 

People are saying about her performing a single on the xfactor! She would fall to pieces.

On the Untouchable front, i surprised its dropping quite so fast, i really thought it may have a slightly more graceful descent. Guess it really was just a fanbase buy after all :( shame still wasn't able to get it top10 but i know some people are just relieved their run is (definitively) over (less pressure or whatever)

i think this could fall out of the Top 40 by sunday, it's already #34 today and with Akontelle, Keri and others breaking into the Top 40 this week it could fall to #41.

its falling so fast i really didnt expect it to fall so quick
