All the girls were good this week although I agree that Megan chose the wrong song - one of Wacko's worst although his was a cover of the Bobby Day 1958 hit.

I think Skywriter would have been a good song for her.

 

It should have been Michael Sarver or Matt Giraud that should have gone

Kelly Clarkson had an awesome performance. Decided to get a drink while Kanye West was on, I couldn't wait for him to finish prancing around like a gorilla.

I totally agree that Adam Lambert is an amazing vocalist, but i already can't stand him with his over the top performances.

I think America is Going to get bored of him, but he will still make the final.

 

However there is nothing special about Danny Gokey and even though the judges praise him to high heavens every week i think that there is no chance of him making the final, infact i would be surprised if he made the top five.

Gutted that Alexis was voted off, she has so much talent and had so much potential. But her performance was kind of flat, she should've sung something by Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill or Martina McBride. But then again we wouldn't want another Carrie Underwood-esque winner again. Especially seeing how very country she seems. But she did start losing her edge and so on which was unfortunate- started becoming a little fan of her and if she does decide to take her future into music I reckon she'd do amazingly (well in the Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum industry :lol:) Was also interesting how Simon barely criticised her, especially in the weaker performance where you'd expect him to call her hideous but he only said 'its ok' ..

I've not watched any of the shows, but someone on another site posted a link to this guy called Adam, great voice and so he'll do for me.

Gutted that Alexis was voted off

I Can't understand how Allison was in the bottom three either.

Michael Sarver should have gone. He's the worst by far with Matt and Anoop also in the bottom three

 

My final three now has to be:

1. Allison Iraheta

2. Megan Joy

3. Adam Lambert

 

I'm adding a 4th (Lil Rounds) because I don't like any of the others.

 

Carrie's performance was awesome. What a pity she doesn't release in the UK. I have to buy her music on import.

 

It looks like (god forbid) we may have another Taylor Hicks on the winners list.

I know im a bit late with commenting on the shows structure this year but i really hate the whole X Factor-gone wrong format they are doing :(

Its all very messy..

The format is incredibly messy this year. I got totally LOST at the results stage again this week :/

 

Also what a generally poor final 10. Only three of them have any long term career prospects tbf. What's with all the bland males too? Several white guys who I can't differentiate between, Anoop who is yawn and yer. Adam/Megan/Lil are the only ones who particularly interest me at all tbh. Let's hope this series doesn't go the way of Mr. Hicks.

 

Also, Isn't the American Idol format kind of dead now? Bring on US X-Factor I say...

Ive never really been a fan of American Idol but i saw the last seris on tv here in the UK and really took to it

 

Oh i only saw the first hour on thursday. Watching the rest 2moz. Alexis gone :mellow: She's one of the best in there :wacko:
