So what that means nothing.

The Spice Girls did the same thing and ended up getting sued by two or three of their respective sponsors because they had disbanded without actively promoting the relevant sponsors products.

Yes it does. Most of the GA girls dont have the money that the Spice's had. I am sure they wouldnt risk losing the 250k or being sued for a lot more. And im also sure that GA's people will have learnt from the Spice Girl fiasco.

Girls Aloud would be absolutely stupid if they broke up now anyway. Apart from the deal with Sunsilk, the girls are more successful than ever (sales, festival and touring wise). The money must be flowing in and i really think they will want to cash in on their success whilst they still can.

Oh for fecks sake, I'm getting sick of these stories on a near daily basis, just enjoy the Girls while they're still together, whether they split soon or not, this is going beyond a joke.
I would actually like to know exactly what kinds of business these new businesswomen would be dabbling in

PROSITUTION ... :P

joke, love them really!

As with everything in this world - I'll believe it when I see it B)
As if there was any doubt this article was untrue...I mean the fact it was NOTW should have tipped it off right then and there, when the papers start saying that girls are gonna stay together for another 5-10 years is when you should start getting worried ;)
if they split up, does that mean they won't be in the Metro, the London Lite and the London Paper EVERY DAY?? cause that would suck. here's hoping they stay together
i cannot see this been true as i think they would commmit career suicide if they did, they went on a pop idol show to follow their dreams now that they hae it why end it especially at a time when they are doing really well,if they can stay commited to the group they have at least 3 more album left in them ,something kinda ooh proved they still know how to deliver a good pop tune and the greatest hits sales show the public still want them

Cheryl Cole has declared that Girls Aloud would not consider a comeback once they have split up.

The singer's comments have been interpreted as an attack on the Spice Girls reuniting for an album and tour.

She said: "It just wouldn't be seemly. When we finish, we'll finish on top. And there'll be no comeback.

"We could hardly go out as Girls Aloud when we're old and wrinkly. We would have to call ourselves Old Girls Aloud – and that would never do."

Meanwhile, fellow member Sarah Harding spoke about how much she enjoyed wearing a school uniform for an appearance in St Trinian's: "I'm not sure I look so innocent. I really went for it - stockings, suspenders and a skirt up to my a***."

I'm sure they will do a comeback. Shes speaking about years years away

Well at least she saying we wouldn't be left in limbo like the Spicey ones did to us.

The Spices totally messed around with the fans never announcing a split, and then the hundreds of reunion stories after that, which were always surfacing.

well what she should be thinking is we wont split up so we wont need to re unite

No, they have said several times that Girls Aloud won't last forever, they can't foresee them at 30yo singing "Love machine".

So they'll do it, properly, in the fair way.

Girls Aloud are going their separate ways in summer.

Nadine, Cheryl, Sarah, Kimberley and Nicola will disentangle after their Tangled Up tour ends in May.

But their millions of fans need not despair…

Although they plan to pursueseparate careers for a while, they have already planned a Spice Girls-style reunion in five years’ time.

And that virtually guarantees them a windfall to the tune of £20million.

An insider told the Daily Star Sunday: “The split in summer is definite now. It’s something the girls have all agreed on.

“They want to finish the tour and then try something different.

“Although they’ve loved being in the band and plan to go back to it, there are so many different things they would also like to be part of.

“Their time apart won’t be permanent but it will be a break after their fifth album and there is no doubt about them getting back together in the future.”

Hollywood film roles and an A-list life in Los Angeles with Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe now beckons for Nadine Coyle, 22. Our source said: “Nadine will certainly move over to LA to concentrate on films.

“She hopes that, with Jesse’s help, she might be able to make a name for herself.

“She’s already in talks with one big-name film director and almost has a film in the bag.”

Sarah Harding, 26, and Nicola Roberts, 22, are expected to go for solo singing careers.

“Sarah is due to start work on a solo album quite soon after the split,” confided the insider.

“It will be quite different from the Girls Aloud stuff and will have a slightly rocky edge.”

Kimberley Walsh, 26, and Cheryl Cole, 24, want to go into TV.

Cheryl is expected to be the new face on a judging panel for a major talent show.

The wife of England and Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole has made no secret of her admiration for fellow WAG Victoria Beckham’s savvy business sense. So she might also lend her name to designer clothes or model a store’s own range.

Kimberley wants to act. She has said it’s her dream to be offered a part in a big soap such as Coronation Street – as Kym Marsh was after Hear’Say. She would also like to try theatre.

“All the girls have got things that they are keen on pursuing,” added our source.

“They’ve worked very hard since the start and feel they need to split now to keep themselves fresh.

“It will be a sad day when they do split. But they want to go out at the very top.”

The band was formed in 2002 when ITV launched Popstars: The Rivals to find a girl group and a boyband who would compete for the Christmas No.1.

The boyband, One True Voice, sank without trace. But Girls Aloud became a legend.

The first single from their brand new Tangled Up album was the group’s 16th Top Ten hit, landing them a Guinness world record as the most successful UK girl band of all time.

The foxy five-piece have clocked up more big hits than Destiny’s Child, who had 11, and the Spice Girls, who only managed ten.

It's probally not true, there's been millions of these. They all looked perfectly happy together a week ago on the Friday Night Project, so I doubt it.

ALTHOUGH, IF they did split, I'd love to hear Sarah go down the P!nk route.

Joshy Joshy Joshy, make yourself hate her! :arrr:

it's the Daily Star  you can't even believe your eating fish and chips if they're wrapped in it.

But I just can't shake the feeling though since the god like Jenny said they were thinking of taking a break :( One of the reasons I booked tickets for the Manchester finale just in case  2013 would be a long wait  and plus didn't they say they couldn't see themselves performing Love Machine at 30
