Shakira (feat. Wyclef Jean) debuts at No1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Hips Don’t Lie’, her fifth Irish Top 20 single and her third No1, following ‘Whenever, Wherever’ and ‘Underneath Your Clothes’ in 2002.

maybe hopefully a top 5 hit her album is doing extremely well over here

its no.4 this week again thats amazing :) what about you country??

Is hips don lie released over there yet??

Yes it will chart on sunday, more than likely at number 3, hopefully it can climb to number 2 next week. The album did quite badly in the uk. How did fijacion oral vol.1 do in sweden?

I think oral fixation vol1 became a top 40 hit here insweden and thats it but "La tortura" became another top 10 hit for her :)

i don´t think oral fixation vol.2 including hips don´lie has been released yet

so i guees when its released it would do so much better.

Don't Bother reached 13 in Ireland if I remember correctly. But I think OF2 only scraped into the top 100 when released.

shakira's irish chart placings are

whenever whereever number 1

underneath your clothes number 1

objection/tango number 12

dont bother number 13

hips dont lie number 1

albums

laundry service number 2

oral fixation 2 number 23(so far)

THEY ARE THE OFFICAL CHART PLACINGS FOR HER HERE IN IRELAND

Except for DB, all her Irish peaks are better than her UK ones. It's cuz they're more Euro over there than us :P
wow shes done pretty good in ireland singles wise!

sometimes the irish charts are better than the uk but over all indie and rock acts can do well here,,,but you can never ever predict how the irish charts will go,,,like orson only made number 26 here whilst it was a uk number 1

mecks thunder in my heart uk number 1 irish number 12
