Posted June 17, 200619 yr  hmm... different, don't know what to make out of it actually. Story wise its refreshing not to see the Doctor and Rose in the whole episode. I love the ELO music in the episode, ohh and another Torchwood reference was plugged. 7/10 Peter Kay and Marc Warren their characters fitted in quite well, makes me wonder if Marc Warren could actually become a Dr. Who in the near future. Next week's episode seems a bit odd
June 17, 200619 yr Very poor. Surprising since Peter Kay was in it, would have thought it'd be really good and funny. I'd give it about 3/10, if that. My mum didn't like it either. Who on earth wrote that episode? And Mikey, how could that man be the Doctor if he's been in it today? He'd be remembered for being in it.
June 17, 200619 yr This is the first time since the first episode I've actually sat down and watched it, and I wasn't very impressed. There was hardly any of the Doctor or Rose, and I found the character of Elton and the whole story a little pointless really - like they're really scraping the barrell for ideas. Peter Kay was laughable both as a well-spoken "businessman" and a monster, he wasn't funny OR scary. 5.5/10 Unfortunately next week's looks worse -_-
June 17, 200619 yr And why did everyone keep saying the Doctor looked the same all those years ago? He regenerates every 5 years
June 17, 200619 yr I thought the episode was refresing. It was great to see the story from a different charchter's point of view. Marc Warren and Peter Kay were great I thought. Another hint was on the end of the series issue with Rose. Next weeks episode looks extremley odd.
June 17, 200619 yr And why did everyone keep saying the Doctor looked the same all those years ago? He regenerates every 5 years  Because the Doctor (Tennant) could have travelled back to when that man was a boy.
June 17, 200619 yr Author And Mikey, how could that man be the Doctor if he's been in it today? He'd be remembered for being in it. Well, anything could happen
June 17, 200619 yr Because the Doctor (Tennant) could have travelled back to when that man was a boy. He could have, but that's a bit of a lame excuse. They could've explained that it was Tennant who travelled back recently (and not just the Doctor).
June 17, 200619 yr Well, anything could happen  Hmm, it seems that way now lol. Anything goes. -_-
June 17, 200619 yr I thought it was OK. Not the best episode. The acting was excellent either, and i never thought i would say this but i didnt like the character that Peter Kaye played. I did however like Marc Warren and his body :P Edited June 17, 200619 yr by Pop-King
June 17, 200619 yr He could have, but that's a bit of a lame excuse. They could've explained that it was Tennant who travelled back recently (and not just the Doctor). Yes that's what I thought, it wasn't very well explained was it, but that's the theory I reckon people were meant to get anyway.
June 17, 200619 yr It was weird how it was structured, i can't see how the guy can still love the girl as shes now a paving slab. The enemy wasn't really that bad, but there was some humour. 5/10
June 17, 200619 yr Well, err....., umm...... I'm in a state of shock. That was the equivalent of watching your favourite comedian tell a series of unfunny gags, or your favourite music artist release a stinker of an album. It is also a warning to the future of Dr. Who, that if the future casting & script-writers get it wrong, then the wheels could quickly come off the show (again). With little of the Doctor & Rose (so therefore no chemistry) - there was little to grab the attention. Marc Warren was quite good, but Peter Kaye was neither funny or scary (or was he just paying tribute to Christopher Biggins). :P Lame 2/10 Here is the highlight - ELO - Mr Blue Sky [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2Ncxw1xfck.swf

June 17, 200619 yr It just makes me want to watch a Troughton or Davison episode. Back when Doctor Who was actually good.
June 17, 200619 yr I thought it was OK. Definitely a filler episode though. It was incredibly silly a lot of the time and after all the hype Peter Kay was barely in. He was Ok though. Marc Warren was excellent, really liked his character. Good on them for trying something a little different. Doubt I'll bother watching the episode again though.
June 17, 200619 yr Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter ^_^ I think she's quite good. I noticed that as well, i was thinking to myself "Shouldn't you be at hogwarts?"
June 17, 200619 yr I noticed that as well, i was thinking to myself "Shouldn't you be at hogwarts?" I expected her to shout "I was DISTRAUGHT!" I loved that line from the first film. *Harry Potter geek*
June 17, 200619 yr OMG was that her ? :o I had no idea lol. Edited June 17, 200619 yr by x-The_Royston_Poisoner-x
