Posted February 28, 200916 yr First final of the season, well, we've already got 2 cups thus far this season (Charity Shield and World Club Cup) could be our third piece of silverware predictions please. 3-0 to United Welbeck, Ronaldo, Rooney
February 28, 200916 yr 2-1 Spurs King and Pav scorers We have only lost 2 out of 14 cup finals, we kicked the arse of a near full strength Chelsea team last season so I believe we can easily beat ManUre reserve team
February 28, 200916 yr Author ManUre, how original, jew and mate, our reserves would finish higher in the league than where you find yourself now don't be fooled by our first 11, tomorrow we've played most players this season out of any premiership team, 29 in total our team is jampacked with quality players, that's not just our first 11, either Welbeck, Possebon, Nani, Gibson, Tosic, Foster, Fabio would all get in your 11, or be there and there abouts, and most of them will play tomorrow others are the likes of Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, Berbatov, Scholes, Giggs, Evans, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra.. to mix in with the youth
February 28, 200916 yr Chelsea's team last year will be stronger than the one you are putting out tomorrow OWF doesn't care about the Carling Cup you will be going through the motions otherwise you would put out a full strength side, we are well and truly up for it as it is the only way we will be in Europe next season
February 28, 200916 yr I find it highly unlikely that Spurs wil win. They have none of their January signings available, no Campbell either leaving only Pav and Bent as striking options.. Man Utd's team is from: Foster, Kuszczak, Neville, Fabio, Gibson, Evans, Vidic, Ferdinand, O'Shea, Evra, Welbeck, Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher, Park, Scholes, Nani, Ronaldo, Giggs, Tevez, Rooney I think it'll look something like: Foster Neville Evans Vidic O'Shea Park Gibson Fletcher Nani Tevez Welbeck If they go behind a bench of Kuszczak, Ferdinand, Evra, Anderson, Carrick, Ronaldo and Rooney doesn't exactly look bad does it?
February 28, 200916 yr We'll have at least 2 match winners on the bench alone. Our strength in depth will overcome Spurs, even if the starting 11 struggles initially. In fact I'd go so far as to say I can't see Spurs even scoring. Prediction would be 2-0 United.
February 28, 200916 yr is it just me, or did TCM just use 'jew' in a racist way.... nonetheless, close match, but a 2-1 win for united methinks.
February 28, 200916 yr Author Craig, why do you do this to yourself? we're not Chelsea... we're not, you should know that by now i reckon we'll look something like this ----------------FOSTER NEVILLE-EVANS-VIDIC-FABIO NANI-GIBSON-ANDERSON-WELBECK --------ROONEY-TEVEZ
February 28, 200916 yr Author is it just me, or did TCM just use 'jew' in a racist way.... nonetheless, close match, but a 2-1 win for united methinks. It's like me saying 'muslim' to a muslim person after a sentence, quite silly on your behalf, really
February 28, 200916 yr GK - Gomes DR - Charlie DC - Woodgate DC - King LB - BAE RM - Lennon CM - Jenas CM - O Hara LM - Modric ST - Bent ST - Pav Hardly a bad side ;)
February 28, 200916 yr ----------------Foster------------------- Neville---Evans---Vidic---O'Shea Fletcher---Scholes---Gibson---Nani ----------Tevez---Welbeck---------- If we're not winning then Giggs, Ronaldo and Rooney will probably make an appearance at some point, I'm expecting us to win it though. Anyway the reserves got us to the final so they deserve to play in the final imo.
February 28, 200916 yr Author i don't think he'll play Welbeck upfront, he'll want him running at that rubbish left back with his pace
February 28, 200916 yr i don't think he'll play Welbeck upfront, he'll want him running at that rubbish left back with his pace The same rubbish left back (Ekotto) that kept Ronaldo quiet in the premiership game ? :w00t:
February 28, 200916 yr Author yeah, like you had two men on him? Welbeck's a different kettle of fish to Ronaldo, he's simply too fast for your team
February 28, 200916 yr Author Pavlyuchenko bombshell - I dream of playing for United and Berbatov is an 'arrogant snob', says Spurs striker Roman Roman Pavlyuchenko has rocked Tottenham's Carling Cup final preparations by admitting he would rather be playing for Manchester United - while branding Dimitar Berbatov an "arrogant snob". I have a dream: Spurs No 9, Roman Pavlyuchenko, wants to be Manchester United's No 1 Spurs fans will no doubt be angered by the comments from the £13.8million buy from Spartak Moscow as they go into the Sunday's Wembley clash against Sir Alex Ferguson's team. Asked by a Russian journalist whether he wanted to play for United, Pavlyuchenko declared: "It would be wrong not to dream about this. "I have realised that the English Premier League is exactly why you should start playing football in the first place. "And Manchester United is the leader of it. Once your first dream comes true you must start dreaming of another target." But in saying how pleased he was to team up with Robbie Keane at Spurs, he was scathing about Berbatov, who made the move from White Hart Lane to Old Trafford. "Robbie Keane returned to the Spurs as if he never left the club," he told Gazeta Daily in Moscow. "It's evident that he's a man of authority inside the team which is good for us. He was always liked as far as I can judge. "If Berbatov returned it would be taken quite differently. I heard tales that he was an arrogant snob who after a training session would just throw his dirty boots to the man who takes care of our footwear saying: 'Clean them for me!' "No one likes such people. Still he's now playing for Manchester United." The Russia international went on to speak about his rivalry with Darren Bent. "There are no bitter feelings between us about being competitors," he said. "Yes, in one of his interviews he threatened to leave if he's kept on the bench. But that's natural, no disrespect to me. I treat him as one of my partners. Competition is fine by me." Pavlyuchenko said he was determined to show United how good he is in tomorrow's clash. "I very much want to score in that match," he said. "We lost to them in FA Cup. So the game is very important for us. First of all because it's about a title. In football you need to win titles. "So far I have only won the Russian Cup with Spartak and would like to feel those winner's emotions again. "Secondly, it's a ticket to the UEFA Cup. Third, it means a chance to avenge our previous loss. And fourth, it will boost our self-assurance. It's hard to over-estimate the importance of that match." He hit back at critics who say he has failed to score as much in the league as in cup competitions. "They are free to say whatever they want. I can only tell them that to play and score is hard in any game here. "I wasn't inflicted with as many bumps, bruises and scars in my whole career in Russia as in a half a season in England. And I'm 27 years old." But he stressed: "I can tell you more: despite all the bumps and problems I'm very happy. I've come into the world where they do everything so that playing football brought joy." ------------- he'd rather be wearing red tomorrow, it seems one thing i know for sure he will never be a Manchester United player, just not good enough, that simple
February 28, 200916 yr I get the snealky feeling Spurs might win this. 0-0 in 90 minutes, then Spurs to get a flukey defelcted shot goal. Que mass celebrations for a tinpot trophy while everyone else laughs. @D But to be fair I think Spurs will be well up for it tomorrow. But if Spurs don't turn up then Man Utd will probably trounce them.
