March 4, 200916 yr Should i be worried that i LIKED Premonition  I dunno, i watched it at like 4am so i think i need to watch it again  Edited March 4, 200916 yr by Joao.
March 4, 200916 yr You dont really... Saw it last night... Frankly, I've seen scarier chick flicks.... I know the likes of Blade (which Goyer co-wrote) aren't exactly "scary", but at least those films (well, the first two anyway..) had good, interesting storylines and memorable characters, as well as some excellent action sequences (especially the second film directed by Guillermo Del Toro..), The Unborn really has nothing of the sort that makes it stand out or really all that memorable... Oldman just plods along not seeming particularly interested (really, his part could've been played by someone like Craig Fairbrass or Sean Bean...), and the lead actress is just so interchangeable with about a hundred other similar actresses..... I put it alongside films like White Noise, that kind of crappy "One Missed Call" remake, or The Forgotten.... Okay for the duration of watching, it doesn't make you want to get up and leave, but you leave the cinema thinking "well, meh.....". It wasn't as good as "Mirrors".... And it does try so desperately hard to be like a Japanese or Korean horror film, it's kind of funny..... Yeah I saw it and I do kind of agree, although it was a LOT better than I thought it would be, I would go as far as saying I actually enjoyed it (wouldn't see it again mind, but then I don't generally like these type of films anyway.) Oddly enough the last two films of this kind I saw at the cinema (the only other two films of this genre I've seen) were Premonition and White Noise :heehee: Seems I go to see all the duff ones.
March 5, 200916 yr There is an ok-ish R5 rip of it out atm but I think I will wait for axxo or Klaxxon to release a copy before seeing it
March 5, 200916 yr I just hate cinemas really, a big bugbear of mine is people talking in films and ratling crisp packets and so on when I am trying to concetrate on the movie, too many chavs go to cinema I prefer getting a good qualty DVD rip, playing it over the plasma and surround system and stretching out on nice comfy sofa drinking a can of beer
March 5, 200916 yr That's not the same. -_- There's a much greater sense of fun when you're surrounded by other people, and the generalisations you just made are pretty rare. Even at the showing of this film, which appeals to teenagers and which I saw in a chav-dominated town, there was none of that. Excuses!
March 6, 200916 yr I just hate cinemas really, a big bugbear of mine is people talking in films and ratling crisp packets and so on when I am trying to concetrate on the movie, too many chavs go to cinema If you go during the day on your days off... Catch afternoon shows, or even ones round about 11.00 or 12.00, you can pretty much avoid all that.... :)
March 6, 200916 yr If you go during the day on your days off... Catch afternoon shows, or even ones round about 11.00 or 12.00, you can pretty much avoid all that.... :) Correct. I go to the first showing before 1pm on a weekday at our Showcase as it's the cheapest ( more after 1pm! ) and you get less chavs in. At least if there are any you can move away from them as there are lotas of empty seats. In fact I'm often the only person!
