Posted March 5, 200916 yr Was just browsing about Bev sites and found these What's up people. just thought i'd pass through and see what's going on in here. I notice your wondering about the album. Well have no fear, Bev has been working her socks off and a Smash album is on its way!! The summer is gonna be HOT!!!! Dj Munro sounds like she is keeping the music city soul vibe going on. she has said to expect an early tina turner sound and a bit of chaka in there too. she also said she is penning a 60s style war song too, hopefully akin to that of whats going on by marvin gaye Yep it's true i've been hearing lots of good things!!! More coming soon... along with the relaunch of the fansite ^_^ Looks like the album could be sooner than we thought :cheer: how exciting
March 5, 200916 yr Whoop Whoop. Fantastic, i hope she has some sucsess this time round or at least has a killer lead single.
March 6, 200916 yr Sooner than we thought? I was hoping for a Spring release. :( Are any of these like official? I heard from one of her fans that one of Bev's band said there could be "some big names guesting on the album" a while ago but that's about it. It's weird how there's a 60s war song and a smash album mentioned, I don't think the two will go hand in hand. We need big and proper news from the woman herself! :(
March 7, 200916 yr At least its something :( God Aaron, how ungrateful of you. Haha, sorry guyses. I just don't believe things unless I actually see Bev talk about it. This seems like it's never gonna arrive.
March 7, 200916 yr You have a point i guess though, nothing official yet until it's confirmed by either the label/Bev
March 8, 200916 yr Innit, I do recognise the DJ Munro name from somewhere though. Hopefully he's done a song with her or something.
March 9, 200916 yr I looked him up...a little and found out he helped produce "Fatal Factor" and "Salvador" on "Affirmation". So the dud tracks really.
March 10, 200916 yr I wonder if he's been working with her again or if it's just a friend. Maybe she's going back to her "Affirmation" sound after all. (though those two tracks are the least fitting songs on that album)
March 10, 200916 yr I really hope she does, i've said this before i know but she really does need a killer lead single.
March 11, 200916 yr True, she could have had one last time with "Black Butta" and the worst thing is, apparently that was almost the lead single but it switched to "After You" and then "No Man's Land". This time in 2007 there was already a bit of buzz about the next album as she performed "Black Butta" on a tour.
March 11, 200916 yr Really? I didnt know they'd changed it twice, do you know why they switched from BB?
March 12, 200916 yr No, I don't. :( I was just looking at older posts around various sites for the last era and it seems everyone was hyped about "Black Butta" before the album was out and it seemed like people thought it would be lead, I guess Parlophone weren't too keen on it or something?
March 12, 200916 yr Ph god, what the hell do Parlaphone know. Well at least she isnt with Island, then she'd truely be f***ed
March 13, 200916 yr I think Parlophone and Island are equally as bad to be honest. Kylie is the only person I can think of on Parlophone other than Bev and "X" was handled poorly.
March 14, 200916 yr Oh yeah, I agree. It's just whether they'd sign an old lady. Polydor could work for her.
