I've been following her for a while on there, I didn't know if it was real or not. She always seems to be in the studio or quizzing her followers on lyrics from her songs! :lol: It's good to know it's real, every artist needs one, it's gotta be the best way to connect with your fanbase at the moment.

Thank you SO much for the feedback. I think/hope you'll be very happy w/this album. The hard thing is that certain songs are very "nostalgic" bcuz of when they were released,what was going on in your life or whatever..So its very tough to compete w/them (not that its a contest!: ) I have a very close place in my heart 4 so many cos they're my life stories. But! Being that I'm in an amazing place in my personal life 4 once: ) I feel really inspired and creative. There will be a wide variety 4 u

 

Then she posted again thanking us for the feedback, but she was surprised no one said "Petals" or "Close My Eyes". (gosh, she must have a huge memory to remember every song and album track) She then said there was a lot of songs that were reoccuring, followed by a "If you had to pick one out of Babydoll, Shake It Off or Whenever You Call, what would it be?".

Looks like "Butterfly" is a bit of a fan favourite album. Those three weren't exactly my favourites but I think it'd be good to hear something like one of those. :o

I must give it more listens, it definitely seems to be the fan favourite album.

 

Surely the album can't be that close to being finished?! She basically always says she's been busy in the studio do backing vocals and stuff but it seems so soon for Mariah. :o

This is true, but E=MC2 was (apparently) released a year to the day yesterday... To be honest post-Touch My Body she could have started writing again, something at least to justify what the hell she had been doing instead of promotion. :lol:

Mariah Carey is into covering the rock classics -- not always for the better. Several years ago, on her "Glitter" album, Carey did a ballad-esque version of Def Leppard's "Bringing on the Heartache," to tepid reviews. Now, she's revived Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is" -- slated as a potential single for her album due out later this year. Mariah beat out Marc Anthony, who was also hoping to sing the love anthem.

You should definitely check out Butterly though Aaron, it IS a fan favourite indeed. Ooh, indeed it was. I can't believe it's that long ago already. :o I guess it's possible, she must be at least a few tracks into it to be doing backing vocals already.

 

I like "I Want To Know What Love Is" but ergh, no thanks. Her doing covers seems so 90s. D: It might be a decent bonus track but not a single.

 

Listening to "Butterfly" now, I'm only familiar with the first 3 tracks and "Close My Eyes" really. It definitely did sound rather 'smooth' when I first gave the album a listen. :lol:

I think there are about 7 tracks I really enjoy and the other 5 kinda go over my head. I can't say I'm wildly keen on her um..'breezy' (?) vocals. (like how she sings the chorus on "Honey" - though that's definitely my fave on the album)

 

I can't believe the next album is that close to completion! I can't wait, totally wasn't expecting it so soon. :w00t:

Mariah Carey has used Twitter to inform her followers that she is suffering from sleep deprivation.

 

The 'Touch My Body' singer revealed that she was struggling to drop off after a rigorous training session.

 

"I just finished working out. Whooo! Quite naturally, 'It's 5am and I still can't sleep' (sung like 'Cry Baby' from Rainbow 99) lol. Who's up?" she wrote.

 

The star continued by observing husband Nick Cannon's good looks as he slept in their bedroom.

 

"Nick is too cute when he's sleep! I wish he didn't have to work tomorrow so he could help me sleep all day and I could sing all night!" she said.

 

The couple were last month spotted visiting a fertility clinic, fuelling speculation that they are trying to start a family.

:rolleyes: One night of little sleep and quoting her own lyrics (though it was 5am) means she's an insomniac now? I wish I could get paid to makes stories out of celebrity Twitter profiles.

 

She's well impressed with her dog though, she's always hinting about getting him a show. :lol:

 

A JJ & Cha Cha update: Too funny! JJ deals w/the abuse a 9 week old female puppy gives him because he's THAT kool,but clearly JJ is more than a lil'annoyed when this tiiiny puppy steals his toys and barks in his ear and especially when she sits in my lap. I know,..I gotta get some footage of this so you can see it. Its stellar! Hellooo tv producers..don't u tweet?! Get on it! Lol..but seriosly

I reckon Jack must have died. Wasn't he in the 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' video? That was like...15 years ago, which is quite a long time ago for a dog and she would have had him before that video. It sounds silly, but maybe she chose to release "Bye Bye" for a reason? :(

She just updated her Twitter to say she's in the studio with TIMBALAND! :o Working on a S.G.S.H.W (stone groove smash hit wonder) :heehee:

Thanks for the updates. I tried Twitter, got bored of it as it just seemed to be status updates and duly deleted it. Not getting it again as it was confusing and the help section was even more confusing.
