Well the 2009 one isn't actually up yet, so I just used the 2008 one and substituted San Marino for Slovakia... and both were/are pretty much doomed in the Eurovision anyway so they weren't too relevant! Anyway, here were my results...

because everytime I skip the envelope part,and then start the votation,Portugal never be there.

I created a poll for you,and no one cared,nobody participate,only talks about $h!t songs from the same countries.

Eurovision for me means Europe agaisnt Portugal.

 

I think Portugal should be out of this european circus, Italy did well to be out of this interests,who cares about a euro-neighbour-political-votes?

 

Oh and by the way, what the hell Russia,Israel,Azerbeijan,Turkey,Georgia,Armenia have to do with Europe??? many of them are Middle-East,and Russia is everything less european.

That's because the Contest is open to the members of the European Broadcasting Union - which also includes the Middle East and Africa (in 1980, Morocco took part, and 1976 almost saw Tunisia enter - they withdrew, after other Arab nations put pressure on them to do so, since Israel were also taking part in it).

 

I also think you'll find that Russia and Turkey have land in Europe as well.
