Speaking of entries such as LoveGame actually, this does remind me of another key argument of the ACM - granted, with entries such as Trick Me etc. it serves to remind others of songs they may have forgotten.

 

But, without wishing to cause offence or something (and I find it hard to believe that someone can actually be offended by an objection to entries as cheap as this) entries such as LoveGame, from an album which has spent no less than 9 weeks atop the Album Multichart (possibly more, I forget...), what is the actual point of sending them? :/ Their success would prove nothing - everyone already knew it was popular. You aren't introducing anyone to their music as such - I'm certain the vast majority of competitors have heard The Fame. Therefore, what on earth is the point in entering them, other than going for a quick and easy good result? :/

ok, a compromise, you MAY have one change, but if you do so you must send me a PM stating why you wish to do so, but really please only in extreme circumstances, not rubbish excuses like 'I got bored of the song'. If this is the case, then leave your confirmation until much later to be certain. This is more of a fallback option just in case something happens like we find that it breaks a rule etc...

 

but I really don't encourage it and don't want a load of people confirming songs only to PM me a week later to change it for no good reason.

I've changed the first post to include that you may change your entry only if it breaks a rule, or has a Headhunted style backlash :heehee:

Sorry if you see me as a Bitch. But you wouldn't know where i'm coming from, I always joke with funmaker and he always jokes with me (i.e. I dont know what a ballad is). So typical newbie would not be an insult, and his new and probably hasnt realized that this'll be the 3rd time GaGa is enterered, nor that almost every country changes their confirmed entry when its confirmed early. AND he's probably not AS aware of how some of us thrive on bjsc more for new music and not just winning etc. It's just my observation, so no offence to him or you. It'd be very similar to sending Britney If You Seek Amy etc, which is always bound to create a somewhat disagreement with that entry amongst other competitors, no matter how much you like it and if thats your reason for entering it etc.

4th, I would count her duet with NKOTB, though that was a bit of a failure. I hope we don't get too many entries like this, mostly because I was pretty set on sending "Afrodisiac" this month and it does slightly fall under this sort of entry.

well a small break wouldn't hurt would it :heehee: the songs from the first album with arguably the most BJSC potential would be Secret, 4Ever and When It All Falls Apart in my opinon ^_^ I wouldn't rule out sending them one day, but not in any contest soon for the same reason you just gave :heehee:
