I cannot say i like the whole album from the first listening but i am in love now with "Love of an orchestra". Very powerful and lovely lovely harmonies!

:heehee: That's the only song on the whole album I don't particularly like!

Are they writing all the songs by themselves?

I think Charlie Fink (lead singer) is the main songwriter, as this album is about the break-up between him and Laura Marling.

So I guess he wrote the (majority of the) album at least.

It really is a brilliant album. 'Stranger' is the highlight for me.

You can tell that i love church choir music. I find the song brilliant and the two instrumentals also .

If he wrotes all, he is a very versatile songwriter. Good on him.

I already start to like the songs more and more :cheer: Only with I have nothing i coudn't warm till now.

good album :D

I like Love of an Orchestra too, it's unique and stands out

I think Love of an Orchestra is a necessary track as it separates the heartbreak parts of the album into two. I think it also represents the sudden ups during an emotional crisis people sometimes have and feelings that maybe everything will be alright after all which a lot of the lyrics talk about.

Definitely one of my albums of the year.
