The average of these rates is then calculated to produce an average bit rate for the entire file that represents the overall sound quality. March 25, 200916 yr Oh, since when? Now I feel old lol. Since about the beginning of the year the majority has been DRM free. They introduce iTunes Plus a long while ago now which is better quality files (higher bite rate) and DRM free. However it was only on about 10-15% of songs. DRM free songs have a + sign next to the price and 'buy song' button. The whole of the current top 100 have them.

That's the same as iTunes (well, iTunes Plus - which covers most of them now anyway).
