From someone who thought now nowhere else do they have success comparable to that in the UK - they have notably managed MORE than just beat the UK positions they enjoyed better chart stability too!

Love etc actually moved UP 3 places - apparently quite rare for PSB singles nowadays (like in the UK). Also just read that YES has a good chance of staying in the Top 10 (german) album chart following it debut position - regardless its looking to have MUCH better stability than in the UK (album chart). I knew Germany used to be where they've had the most success throughout their career but it faded over the last few albums - seems like a return to form in a big way over there

PS On germany's airplay chart 'love etc' continues to climb - currently @ #24

Yan's German chart comments - issue date 03.04

So the unstoppable Lady Gaga spends her fourth week at the top of the German charts and thus makes a total worldwide domination with #1s in USA, UK and Germany. Perhaps next week she will be challenged by Milow whose “Ayo Technology” moves 3-2, beating the #3 peak of 50 Cent’s original.

The highest new entry of a total five in the top 20 belongs to rapper Flo Rida, who I’ve never thought would be able to repeat the success of debut single “Low”. Now, to prove me wrong, he not only charts his first ever top 10 single in Germany but he does with a song I adore. “Right Round” samples the Dead or Alive 1984 classic “You Spin Me Round”, which reached a #2 peak in Germany. Time will tell whether Flo Rida will manage to beat that position.

The next new entry comes in at #9 from Enrique Iglesias and Sarah Connor. The two are not strangers to the top ten, with Sarah having 5 number one singles for just eight years, while Enrique has four top ten singles, with the best being “Hero” from 2001. “Takin’ Back My Love” originally features the vocals of Ciara, but of course Universal are quite smart to engage a superstar like Sarah to help Enrique make a new hit in Germany.

After successfully conquering the charts all over the world, Metro Station’s “Shake It” enters the German Top 100 at #10 this week. So Miley Cyrus may be more famous as a house name than her brother, but his group has a top 10 single in Germany and she still doesn’t – isn’t this irony?

And honorable mention should go to Pet Shop Boys, whose “Love etc” I expected to plummet this week, but it stays firm and even climbs two places – a good sign for the song’s future performance.

Unusually for the current charts, a new dance hit enters the top 20 at #19 from Big Ali ft. Dollarman and “Hit The Floor”, which samples Snap’s #2 smash “The Power”.

And last but not least, let’s pay attention to the surprising (at least for me) entry of Take That’s latest “The Garden” at #20. It is surprising as the song seems to have come from nowhere, with its video aired in Germany a week ago, and as the band’s previous song in the country “Greatest Day” even failed to reach the top 25.

I'm guessing The Garden was used in some german TV programme, but I cannot say for sure.
The Garden is gonna be the new single in Europe right? Its like big in Denmark too

It'll end up doing better in Denmark as it has started to fall on German iTunes. Take That have just finished a short trip to Europe taking in Germany and Denmark which is why. The trip to Denmark has proven more successful as Patience and Greatest Day profited from it. The Garden is still high in the Danish iTunes but has dropped back to the 40's at least in Germany ... so 20 will end up its peak position.

The album did ok out of it though.
