Um, Single Ladies?

Agreed. Other than the obviously-minor differences of Kelly's music having vocals that go beyond speak-singing, infectious and up-to-date production, and actual recognisable melodies, there are as dire as one another.

Recognisable melodies? There is a whole world of material to discover outside of the run of the mill box, which Clarkson faithfully sticks to with the rock-lite MOR ballad formula. She is beyond turgid on the development front; she had to rewind the clock back to 2005 to achieve a modicum of the success she enjoyed with Breakaway.

“Infectious and up-to-date production” - <_< Yeah right on the cutting edge… :heehee:

Diva on the other hand is gloriously experimental and quite distinct from anything from anything she’s released before which puts it leaps and bounds ahead of generic hit factory dirge. :smoke:

1. Wow, patronising! Nice. So she sticks to the rock-lite MOR ballad formula? Strange, that, since this isn't even remotely ballad-esque.

2. Up-to-date doesn't mean cutting edge, just not dated. Like Diva is.

3. Experimental? It's a straight LIFT from A Milli. A cover version effectively! And if you think Beyonce has ever made a song which was anything other than straight from the 'hit factory', I pity you.

1. <_<

2. I never said it did. ^_^ Like MLWSWY isn't. :heehee:

3. Wow, how literal! With a grasp of relativity, in the context of her discography it is rather.

Point: Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. So stop acting like children and appreciate each other...
I suppose it'll got near Top-20 just because of Beyonce brand... I won't say that it isn't even a song, but... it should stay ONLY as experimental album track, at least outside the USA. 'Radio' should be the next single for UK/Europe, it is more relevant for us. :)

This.

I'll say though Diva is an ear-rape. :kink:

I'm a huge huge huge Beyonce fan (i'm seeing her on friday!!! :w00t: ) but even i find it difficult to listen to Diva  Definately the worst track on CD2

I perfer Radio or Hello to get a release (although i'd imagine that Hello would sound very similar to Halo to most people)

It's amazing. Why does everyone hate it?

No, it's not her best song ever, but still it's about 4th best on her Sasha Fierce (below Sweet Dreams, Radio and Video Phone)

I love how someone mentioned Hoedown Throwdown as a song to argue against. That song was created for a film, with a catchy & simplistic dance to it. It wasn't promoted as a single, it gained interest so Disney released a snippet of a video for it.
