Monday, June 26th, 2006 (New York, NY) Shakira and Wyclef Jean will perform a special version of "Hips Dont Lie" before the final match of the FIFA World Cup at Olympic Stadium in Berlin on July 9th. The mash-up version entitled "Hips Dont Lie Bamboo" 2006 FIFA World Cup Mix is a combination of Shakiras mega hit "Hips Dont Lie" and the tournament's official melody "Bamboo", which was created by internationally renowned producer RedOne. Shakira and Wyclef will perform the song for the first and only time during the closing ceremony 15 minutes before the final kick-off on July 9th.

 

The performance will air in front of an estimated worldwide TV audience of more than 1.2 billion and this version of the song will hit radio stations around the world from today. There are (2) versions of "Hips Dont Lie Bamboo" 2006 FIFA World Cup Mix that will be available for purchase on July 3rd.
