Outside the 50: HOEDOWN THROWDOWN - MILEY CYRUS at 53, PRODIGY - WARRIOR`S DANCE at 62...back up for ALESHA DIXON - BOY DOES NOTHING, and DEADMAU5 AND KASKADE squeeze in to the 75. Question is can N-DUBZ and WOULDN`T get in for Sunday? I don`t think so...and it look`s flops for T2, PJ HARVEY, KABEEDIES, and CAMERA OBSCURA.

Time to blow our trumpet, and see how we did last week! ;) Last Monday we got 8 in the 10, 19 in the 20, and 28 in the 30 on the Combined Album front. Over on the singles: 19 in the 20, 28 in the 30, 36 in the 40, and 47 in the 50...The one that got way more than anything was the Liverpool Collective.

Back in (one of Martin`s fav years) 1979, Radio Luxembourg came up with this:

01 05 COOL FOR CATS - SQUEEZE

02 15 HALLELUJAH - MILK AND HONEY

03 06 SHAKE YOUR BODY - JACKSONS

04 01 SOME GIRLS - RACEY

05 02 BRIGHT EYES - ART GARFUNKEL

06 03 HE`S THE GREATEST DANCER - SISTER SLEDGE

07 04 GOODNIGHT TONIGHT - WINGS

08 16 LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT - BEE GEES

09 07 THE RUNNER - THREE DEGREES

10 18 LOGICAL SONG - SUPERTRAMP

11 08 SILLY THING - SEX PISTOLS

12 09 SULTANS OF SWING - DIRE STRAITS

13 10 HAVEN`T STOPPED DANCING YET - GONZALEZ

14 26 POP MUZIK - M

15 11 WOW - KATE BUSH

16 20 HERE COMES THE NIGHT - BEACH BOYS

17 19 KNOCK ON WOOD - AMII STEWART

18 17 I DON`T WANNA LOSE YOU - KANDIDATE

19 27 IMAGINATION - ROCKY SHARPE AND THE REPLAYS

20 28 LOVE BALLAD - GEORGE BENSON

21 24 REMEMBER THEN - SHOWADDYWADDY

22 23 VALLEY OF THE DOLLS - GENERATION X

23 12 IN THE NAVY - VILLAGE PEOPLE

24 NE ADVENTURES OF THE LOVE CRUSADER - SARAH BRIGHTMAN/HOT GOSSIP

25 25 WAITING FOR AN ALIBI - THIN LIZZY

26 13 TURN THE MUSIC UP - PLAYERS ASSOCIATION

27 14 LET`S FLY AWAY - VOGAGE

28 21 FIRE - POINTER SISTERS

29 29 I WANT YOUR LOVE - CHIC

30 30 SWINGIN`- LIGHT OF THE WORLD

Only 20 in the 30 for Luxembourg, but it was full of airplay anyway. The playlist that didn`t like SHAM 69, or SIOUXIE AND THE BANSHEES, but did like GENERATION X (led by one BILLY IDOL). They also missed with BONEY M - HOORAY HOORAY IT`S A HOLI HOLIDAY, BANANA SPLITS - DICKIES, ONE WAY TICKET - ERUPTION, and REUNITED - PEACHES AND HERB...although they all entered on the following week. SQUEEZE at number 1...and Israel`s 2nd straight win on the Eurovision Song Contest, smashing our entry by BLACK LACE (MARY ANNE) right out...which turned out to be quite ghastly, as "those two wet gits" sounded like SMOKIE! The SEX PISTOLS gave us a double A with TENPOLE TUDOR...No one would dare play "Who Killed Bambi". The BEE GEES got a hell of a lot of airplay with "Love You Inside Out", even on Radio 2...but although it got the top ten on Luxembourg, it peaked at 13 in the British Market Research Bureau chart.

I heard Every Word yesterday and it was sweet :D

Super Furry Animals top 10 - another great album from them. :cheer:

And "Zero" finally making major impact in the UK.

Yay for KoL overcoming another obstacle on their way to reclaiming #1 for a fifth week!

Doves down, only GaGa left until the next major release whatever that is...

Any how back to 2009, looks bit of a dire week, glad to see the Enemy in the top 20, only just though, no sign of Lady Sovereign in the album chart  that's made my day.
