I couldn't find an actual thread for Kamelot, so I thought I'd start one.

I don't know much about the band. All I know is that the lead singer is Norwegian (and also my Norwegian friend's french teacher's son (a mouthful, sorry! )).

I'd say my favourite song by them would be "The Haunting", which features Simone Simmons of Epica (and she's hot, btw :P)

And the Live version is even better:

Anybody like them?

Preferred Epica/After Forever to this lot tbh....

I cant help but get the feeling that Simone was really the more natural choice to take over from Tarja in Nightwish.....

Simone Simmons does have a great voice. I haven't listened to much of Epica, but I know my friend is a massive fan. She is slightly Tarja-esque, so I agree about her being the more natural choice to take over from Tarja. Although I like Anette, Nightwish just aren't as good as they were, and maybe that's the direction they want to go, a "new" Nightwish in the making or something, but I prefer the Taraj era. :nocheer: *awaits the stoning*

I quite like "Mourning Star" by Kamelot. Most of their stuff is a bit "heavy" for me, but that song is bearable. :heehee:

I like Kamelot.

I like Hammerfall as well. :D

But I don't like Dragonforce. :P

BTW, I like their albums too. :D

- March of Mephisto

- The Haunting

- When the Lights are Down

- those other songs I can't remember :D

Why would you expect a stoning for preferring the Tarja era.....?

It took me ages to really like Dark Passion Play tbh.... I stopped listening to it for about a six month period, than I listened again, and kinda appreciated it a bit more... I still dont think they'll ever reach the heights of "Century Child" or "Once" ever again, but they're still a good band for all that...

Lol. I said on Youtube that Anette was good, but I preferred Tarja. And I think I got about 50 replies calling me every name under the sun and how I "wasn't a true fan".

Wot???? Tell these r*t**** to p!ss off, they're obviously utterly clueless, I've been a Nightwish fan for ages, since the first album..... Sure, Tarja was a bit of a 'diva', and I can understand why Tuomas got a bit frustrated with her, but, fukkin' hell, she was the voice of Nightwish for the best part of a decade, and her talent is undeniable..... She did a really good solo album a couple of years back as well, "Winter Storm".... Pretty classy...

I replied to one idiot in particular and he never replied back, so I think I shut him up. :P

Yeah, her solo album was great. I loved 'Die Alive' so much that I entered it into the Buzzjack Song Contest. I don't know why, obsession makes me do stupid things. :(
