Madonna was probably there to see her competition! :P

Competition? :o I thought Madonna was over after Hard Candy? Is she planning a ten thousandth album now? Good lord. ;o

GaGa'll have to be around for some time before she'll be in the Madonna category though, but she's talented enough to be huge for the rest of her career and 9+ albums to come <3

Is she over? Well that's fine. :P

MTV.com - Lady Gaga’s concert at Terminal 5 in New York on Saturday was quite a spectacle. The “Poker Face” singer went through six costume changes, but three ensembles really stood out in our minds: She donned an outfit made entirely of plastic bubbles while playing on a piano filled with bubble-like balls; she also wore a yellow futuristic dress with pointy shoulder pads, and a Britney Spears “Toxic”-inspired flesh-tone leotard with a police hat.

During the show, Gaga gave a shout-out to her good friend Marc Jacobs. Marc wasn’t in the building, but his presence was definitely felt: For Gaga’s fifth outfit change, Jacob created custom Louis Vuitton Graffiti leggings for her dancers, and Gaga rocked a pair of Louis Vuitton stilettos to match. One day we only hope to have friends that design for Louis Vuitton — clearly Lady Gaga is having the time of her life!

Not only can she pull off the craziest styles, but she’s quite the performer too. She sounded great live and talked to the audience throughout the show, prompting the already-hyped crowd to go wild (one classic quote among many: “Do you know many times I played clubs in this city and they threw beer at me? It was kind of fun”). The venue was packed with screaming and jumping Gaga fans, and we felt like sardines in there. In between fending off people pushing and shoving their way to get to the front (we even encountered a guy dressed up as a pig!), we couldn’t help but look up to the V.I.P balconies in an effort to catch a glimpse of Gaga’s A-list concertgoers.

The piano filled with the bubbles (you know what I mean), must be known a lot now!
Lady Gaga ‘humbled’ by Madonna coming to her show

If you think that Lady Gaga has gotten used to being a pop superstar, think again. No one was as surprised as the New York City native herself to see that the Queen of Pop, Madonna, took some time out of her busy schedule to catch the “Poker Face” singer’s show at New York’s Terminal 5 on Saturday.

“I was very humbled that Madonna came to the show,” Gaga told MTV News on Monday. “And I had been hearing all week that she was going to come, and I was like, ‘Oh, OK,’ and I didn’t want to talk about it or tell anyone ’cause I thought it was kind that she would want to come at all.”

What made it even more surprising for Gaga was that she didn’t think Madonna had any idea who she was, despite her hit songs and performance on “American Idol” earlier this season. But what really pleased the singer was seeing that Madge made her concert a family night.

“I was really excited to see that [Madonna's daughter]Lourdes was there, and that made me really happy ’cause during the show I noticed some beautiful spirit of a girl dancing,” she recalled. “And I didn’t know who it was and I just kept waving to her.”

It wasn’t until the set was over that she learned that the girl was Madonna’s daughter. “Then when the show was over, I said, ‘Oh, there’s this sweet, young girl up there, and she was dancing her pants off.’ And someone said, ‘Lourdes had green pants on.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my God, it was Lourdes and she was dancing.’ It really got me going. [Madonna's] a good mom, so it’s nice.”

Gaga will also be happy to hear that the legendary singer slipped out unnoticed. “I was hoping and praying she would get out safely,” she said. “If she got spotted she would have been trampled like the queen she is.”

GaGa: 'Jonas Bros are like The Beatles'

Lady GaGa has compared the Jonas Brothers to The Beatles.

The 'Poker Face' singer claimed that the huge public support The Beatles enjoyed in the 1960s had only recently been matched by the New Jersey brothers.

"Now we have the Jonas Brothers representing the return of the superfan," she told the Daily Star.

GaGa went on to admit that the Scouse band's 1969 Abbey Road album was the inspiration behind her song 'The Fame'.

"They were responsible for the birth of the sexual revolution for women," she said.

The 23-year-old was recently given a month off after record company bosses became concerned that she was being overworked.

Despite a string of hit singles like ``Just Dance`` and ``Poker Face``, and being embraced by everyone from Kanye West to Madonna, initially a lot of people wouldn't give Lady Gaga the time of day.

``Some people didn't get it. Some people still don't get it,`` she told MTV News on the set of Wale's video for ``Chillin'``. ``I read reviews sometimes and I'm like, 'Wow that guy really doesn't f-ing like me,' Like, they really don't get it, but that's cool. You've got to create some kind of stir.

You've got to say something that's got to upset some people, and that's the risk-taking that makes music so fun.

She added that before her songs became radio staples, she was hard-pressed to convince anyone to play them on the radio. ``The real struggle is that they didn't even want to play my music on the radio,`` she explained. ``We fought and we fought and I played at every club. I had chicken dinner with every program director I could get my hands on.``

Those days may be behind Gaga, but while she was trying to schmooze people to love her, there was a group of fans out there who didn't need any chicken to be convinced.

``The turning points for me was the gay community,`` she said. ``I've got so many gay fans and they're so loyal to me and they really lifted me up. They'll always stand by me and I'll always stand by them. It's not an easy thing to create a fanbase. ... Being invited to play [the San Francisco Pride Rally]that was a real turning point for me as an artist``.

While her star has been rising in recent months - particularly thanks to her remarkable appearance on ``American Idol`` - Gaga says she feels her audience is an army of outsiders.

``It's funny because some friends of mine from New York, they all came out to see [last weekend's] show in New York. And they all said to me, 'Gaga, your fans are all of the misfits. They are all of the kids in school that everybody makes fun of`` she explains. ``All of the weird kids, the artistic kids, all the bad ones. And I love that, because that's who I was. We're all together and they get it. It's our own little world.

Whether I've got a #1 record or nobody knows who the hell I am, I'm going to still make music,`` she concluded. ``It's always fun for me.``

Lady Gaga ``grateful`` for ``American Idol`` Appearance

In April, Lady Gaga graced the ``American Idol`` stage, bringing her alien-disco vibe to the masses. Rocking one of her more out-there looks (a zippered eye paton and starry, silver leotard), the ``Poker Face`` singer took a major step toward mainstream take-over.

The performance was definitely different from boy that had taken place on the ``Idol`` stage over the years. Moments like that are what the New York disco queen appreciates most now that she's a certified pop star with hit records and an ever-growing fanbase, which includes Madonna and Kanye West.

``I'm really grateful more that anything,`` she told MTV News about being asked to perform on ``American Idol``. ``I mean, I've been working hard and I've never given up.``

For Gaga, taking the ``Idol`` stage was merely one of the most recent triumphs in a long string of accomplishments that she's worked so hard to achieve. And she credits growing up in New York as one of the reasons she's found so much success.

``I'm a real New York hustler, and now that I'm here, I want to do better things, more inspirational for my fans,`` she said. ``It's all about them.``

At the end of the days, it's all about giving back to the fans who've helped her to become a star. ``I have quite an ego but not when it comes to giving. I really want to give as much as I can to them,`` she said.

``And give back the way they've given to me. And just do great music and great shows. And sign every autograph that anyone ever wants me to sign and that's it.``

• Lady Gaga vows to never lip synch 1

Lady Gaga has vowed never to lip synch at a concert, insisting singers who perform along to recorded tracks aren’t real artists.

The Just Dance hitmaker is adamant she would never mime the words to her songs, no matter how physically demanding her dance routines are.

And she believes fans deserve to hear her voice in live shows since they have already listened to her vocals on CD.

She says, “I would never even think about it (lip synching). The whole point to me is, if you’re gonna be number one, you better really be f***ing number one. If you’re gonna be on top, you better be able to do all those things, because it’s a real privilege to be able to make music everyday, and I get away with a lot.

“Andy Warhol says art is what you can get away with, and I get away with a lot with my music and my clothes, and I work really hard so I could truly be a real artist for all my fans. That’s really f***ed up when you lip-synch.”

• Lady GaGa Hangs With Perez Hilton 0

MTV UK - Lady GaGa has been hanging out backstage with showbiz blogger Perez Hilton at a gig this weekend. The singer demonstrated her unique fashion sense once again in a black leotard, leather jacket and square sunglasses. Hilton himself wore a garish leopard print Adidas T Shirt.

GaGa was performing at radio station KIIS FM’s Wango Tango and spotted gossip queen Perez in the VIP section at the event.

The blogger let his followers know who he was hanging out with by writing on Twitter: “Spending some quality time with GaGa.” He later posted about how ‘cute’ they looked together.

Perez Hilton is also good friends with Katy Perry and is regularly spotted out and about with the I Kissed A Girl star.

Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” and “Just Dance” are still burning up the charts and enjoying regular radio play, but she plans to keep it rolling and continue her pop-world domination with two new songs already on the horizon.

The New York native is excited about her new single, “Love Game,” and is eager for fans to check out the new video, directed by music-video vet Jonas Åkerlund, who has previously helmed clips for the Smashing Pumpkins, Madonna, Moby and U2. ” ‘Love Game’ is already on the radio, which is very exciting,” she told MTV News at the KIIS-FM Wango Tango music festival at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, California. “And I just finished my video for ‘Paparazzi,’ which I really am very pleased with the way that turned out. It’s like a short film.”

But the singer isn’t just releasing songs off The Fame album — she’s already hard at work on some new music. However, don’t expect the collection of tunes to make it onto a traditional album release — these songs are more like a thank-you letter to her devoted fans. (Those fans also include Madonna, Kanye West and the Pussycat Dolls, whom she toured with earlier this year.) “I also started writing more music and I’m planning to release approximately six new songs by the end of the year,” she explained. “I’m just putting it out there … I don’t function on the same industry timeline as everyone else.”

• Track Posted On Kanye’s Blog Not Rihanna & Lady Gaga’s

A new song Kanye West imbedded into his blog on Monday, and which many purported to be Rihanna featuring Lady Gaga, is a fake according to reps for the singers.

Publicists for Rihanna and Lady Gaga both told Access Hollywood that the song, “Silly Boy,” a cut about a guy attempting to make amends with a woman only to be denied for all the mistakes he’s made, said the two women are not behind the song.

Rihanna’s rep said she is not on the track and Lady Gaga’s publicist released a statement denying her involvement to Access.

“The song is a fake… It’s not Lady Gaga,” the blonde pop star’s rep said in the statement.

On Wednesday, the song was still posted on Kanye’s blog.

• Lady Gaga Has Designs on an Artful Career

Pop stars are constantly threatening to design clothing lines, but with the exception of Justin Timberlake, Sean Combs, or Gwen Stefani, they seldom do more than daydream aloud about their hypothetical companies on “Access Hollywood.” Then there’s Lady Gaga. The pantless pop wonder has not only been talking about starting her own clothing line, but true to form, she envisions her designs as the art of the future. “My intention is to one day have the Lady Gaga exhibit at the [Museum of Modern Art],” she told People magazine.

Not since Madonna’s early 1980s arrival has a pop star’s success been so closely tied to her wardrobe. Lady Gaga, a native New Yorker born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta 23 years ago, has created her own superstar reality by arriving at events dressed like a good-time Judy Jetson, eschewing pants, using mirror-covered bras as formal wear, or carrying a tea cup around London as if it were a prized Birkin bag. She began all of this before her album, “The Fame,” produced any hits (you know Gaga best for “Poker Face” or “Just Dance.”) In other words, she started dressing like a star before she was one.

• Lady Gaga was bullied for singing 0

Lady Gaga has revealed that she was mocked during her school days because of her love for singing.

The ‘Just Dance’ hitmaker, who studied in private Manhattan school Convent of The Sacred Heart, has admitted that her fellow pupils used to make fun of her quest to find fame.

“The only thing that I am concerned with in life is being an artist,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“I had to suppress for so many years in high school because I was made fun of but now I”m completely insulated in my box of insanity and I can do whatever I like,” she added.

I'm not quite sure, maybe the bruises are just there to fit in with the purple theme or the purple theme is there to cover up the bruises. if they aren't real the make-up artist sure did a great job at making it look as painful as possible. .

^ I know! If its fake its actually quite amazing. It looks very real and very painful!
• Lady Gaga leaves men with post-sex pressi

Pop icon Lady Gaga has revealed she leaves her men with a post-sex pressie. The ‘Poker Face’ star says that after she has been intimate with a man she will leave her false eyelashes as a memory of their encounter.

Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, admitted she peels off her long lashes and leaves them on her lovers bed after they’ve spent the night together.

She said: “Whenever I have a lover I will leave my eyelashes them in their apartment on the pillow.

“Kind of like a keepsake.”

The 23-year-old star - who used to work as a burlesque dancer - also says her raunchy streak stems from an incident in a New York bar before she was famous

PCD less than perfect as Lady Gaga steals the show

THE Pussycat Dolls began their Australian tour with a genuine double-header. Lady Gaga may have had the support slot, but judging by the response she received on arrival you’d be forgiven for thinking she was the headliner.

The two acts are poles apart on the pop spectrum. Lady Gaga occupies an arty terrain that’s littered with faint echoes of the ’80s and electro pop. The Pussycat Dolls grew out of a Los Angeles burlesque act and came to the charts via a reality television show and the anthem Don’t Cha.

Gaga began her performance with a short film featuring another alter ego, Candy Warhol, before performing her new single Paparazzi against the backdrop of a giant cityscape. Her set was interspersed with film clips offering a hazy narrative that was possibly a meditation on the lure and pitfalls ofcelebrity.

Having written material for the likes of Britney Spears and the Pussycat Dolls, Gaga knows her way around a good pop tune. Her performance, which ran for 40 minutes, included multiple costume changes, a smart stage design, lots of smoke and a lot of sass.

Highlights included LoveGame, Beautiful, Dirty, Rich, Just Dance and an acoustic version of Poker Face, which eventually morphed into the powerhouse groove that was haunted by the ghost of the Eurythmics.

While DJ Havana Brown took care of intermission, the stage was made over for the Pussycat Dolls.

Another a short film introduced them.

Opening with the R&B groove of Taken Over, followed by Beep, the Dolls looked a little sluggish in comparison to Gaga, despite the fireworks. They moved the energy up a gear with the girl power-espousing I Don’t Need a Man and were joined by male dancers for Elevator.

The audience joined in for the call and response of I Hate This Part while lead vocalist Nicole Scherzinger showed off her vocal dexterity.

Scherzinger, the undisputed star of the show, has X-factor in spades. Whenever she was off stage, the show felt flat, particularly during a laboured mid-set burlesque routine.

The Pussycat Dolls are all about hit singles and the show ended with a flurry of them. The audience at times resembled a mass aerobics workout as Scherzinger led the troupe through their moves.

On Hush, Scherzinger briefly veered into I Will Survive, providing one of the night’s genuine Eurodisco highlights. Stickwitu was a standout, as was Don’t Cha, one of the most infectious pop songs of the past decade.

They closed with When I Grow Up and an English language version of Jai Ho, popularised in the film Slumdog Millionaire.

With a lone guitarist sighted all evening, this was a show built on glitz, glamour and the wonders of pop.

GaGa is so much bigger than PCD now. It's funny that she's the support act. :kink:
