During the whole video, she doesn't sing apart from that moment. As i see, is some kind of backstage from photoshoot or videoshoot. As she sings, it's obviously not a photoshoot, so it may be from the actual video. Or simply a part of the commercial.

Lady Gaga 'Devastated' By Bradley Manning Sentencing

Brenna Ehrlich

August 21, 2013

Lady Gaga appears to have found a new cause. On Tuesday (August 21), the "Applause" singer took a moment out of her Video Music Awards prep to express her distress at Pfc. Bradley Manning's sentencing to 35 years in prison."The news of Bradley Manning's sentencing is devastating," Lady Gaga tweeted this afternoon about the U.S. soldier. "If our own can't speak up about injustice who will? How will we ever move forward?"

The news of Bradley Manning's sentencing is devastating. If our own can't speak up about injustice who will? How will we ever move forward?

— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) August 21, 2013Manning, 25, was sentenced by a military judge today after sharing more than 700,000 government files to pro-transparency site WikiLeaks in 2010, leaking military and diplomatic information to the masses, the New York Times reports. This is the longest sentence ever given in such a case, but Manning will be eligible for parole after serving one third of his sentence.Several celebrities — including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Russell Brand and Moby — have come out in support of Manning in the past under the auspices of a campaign called "I Am Bradley Manning."At press time, Gaga's tweet about Manning had been retweeted more than 3,000 times. In the past, Gaga has also spoken out against the Russian government, who recently passed a national law banning "homosexual propaganda" among minors — a law she would have broken previously by promoting gay rights onstage in that country. After sharing her thoughts on the Manning sentencing, Gaga apparently took off for rehearsals for the 2013 Video Music Awards, where she will open the show on Sunday with the debut performance of her ARTPOP single "Applause.""Off to rehearsal! Getting lots of requests for rehearsal pics," the pop star tweeted. "Hmmmm...let me see what I can do!"

Backed by Lady Gaga & Coca Cola, Backplane helps big brands build communities

It all started with Lady Gaga.

Backplane has spent the past two years quietly building a place for the world’s biggest brands to engage with their fans. The company originated as part of Lady Gaga’s tech team. Gaga has a massive social media following. She has 58.7 million Facebook likes and 39.8 million Twitter followers. In July 2012 she launched her own social network just for Lady Gaga fans, who are known as Little Monsters. Backplane was the force behind Littlemonsters.com and is now opening up its platform to other brands and celebrities, starting with one of the world’s most iconic brands — Coca Cola.

“We’ve used the Little Monster community to hone our skills and perfect our product, to learn about user behavior, the psychology and sociology of community, and how to manage super fans,” CEO Matt Michelsen said in an interview with VentureBeat. “Every brand, celebrity, politician and organization I’ve talked to faces the challenge of creating online community that they own. No-one has built this platform yet.”

Michelsen said that while Facebook and Twitter are powerful platforms, they don’t engender the level of engagement that brands want. He described Backplane as a “walled garden” where fans come come together over common interests to communicate, share, and organize.  In the case of Lady Gaga, Littlemonsters.com is a place where strangers can express their passion for the star without fear of ridicule, or share experiences of bullying — one of Gaga’s flagship causes. The brand itself can use the network to deliver information about events or news, and solicit feedback.

Backplane’s front-end is a straightforward social network. Michelsen said the goal was to make it like a “Ford Taurus,” or an intuitive product that people easily understand how to use. The real distinguishing factor, he said, rests in Backplane’s ability to help brands connect in a meaningful way with their fans and measure that participation.

Backplane is being very selective about the brands it works with. The company is looking for top brands with very high engagement. In addition to Coca-Cola, Backplane also revealed a partnership with Cirque du Soleil. Both Coca Cola and Cirque du Soleil made strategic investments in Backplane, which is in the process of closing a $12 million round of funding. The strategic investors join a high-profile group of venture capital firms, including SV Angel, Google Ventures, Founders Fund, Tomorrow Ventures, Lerer Ventures, and Menlo Ventures. Backplane

“A lot of startups take the shotgun approach, and want to get the product out there as fast as possible. ” Michelsen said. “We’ve taken the thoughtful, methodical approach. We looked at the current social ecosystem and at group behavior and have a big infrastructure in place that can support hundreds of thousands of participants on site at a time. Coca Cola is a 125 year old brand and we have to protect that.”

Breaking down the barriers between celebrities, musicians, designers, politicians etc… and their audience is a hot topic of discussion in both the tech and brand worlds. Whether its through social media marketing and analytics, Google hangouts, or media campaigns, influencers and fans alike want more open channels of communication. Backplane will soon begin extend its platform to dozens more client by the end of the year and then plans to scale quickly.

Michelsen previously started two hedge funds and then went on to found trading technology firm UNX. He left UNX in 2010 to work for Lady Gaga’s manager Troy Carter and use his expertise to organize the Little Monsters into a cohesive online community. Cofounder Alex Moore was the first employee at Palantir. Now they along with a team of 34, they are building out a new model for social networks and brand engagement. Backplane is based in Palo Alto.

Lady Gaga celebrates Applause by drinking champagne on the street in leather outfit

Daily Mirror

By Kate Wills

Gaga fist-pumped the air and swigged from a bottle hidden in a brown paper bag, no doubt getting a round of 'applause' at the time

Ain't no party like a Gaga party

Lady Gaga's been wearing some um, interesting outfits of late . Mainly involving more leather than a DFS showroom.

All in the course of promoting her new album Artpop of course.

And in New York she celebrated with her fans dressed in a weird asymmetric leather skirt, leather crop top and matching Laboutins.

Gaga was outside an NY studio, clearly swigging out of a bottle wrapped in brown paper bag, which is what they do in the US with alcohol as drinking on the street is illegal.

Naughty Gaga!

We're guessing it's champagne as you can see the cork in her hand.

Either that or a very posh version of fizzy Tizer.

But that wasn't her only eccentric outfit, the Mother Monster also stepped out in a full-length black smock thing and a magnifying glass round her neck.

The singer has recently been speaking out about online bullying , saying:

“Twitter and other social media platforms need to monitor more closely what’s happening on the internet. They should spend more on making sure they take down any abusive language and suspending accounts.”

It's obviously a subject close to her own heart, as she's been having a row with the biggest online bully of them all - blogger Perez Hilton.

But there's nothing like swigging contraband booze on the street to cheer you up (we should know).

And Lady Gaga should be celebrating after writhing around like a swan with shells on her boobs in the video for Applause.

She's so bitter about being an ARTPOP reject though. Banks could successfully feature on Lana Del Rey's diss track 'So Legit', a two-hit wonder in the making then perhaps? :kink:

Fox News:

Lady Gaga headed to trial in lawsuit brought by former personal assistant

She's just a New York City girl who wears cans in her hair instead of rollers.

A onetime roommate and friend of Lady Gaga who claimed after serving as her personal assistant for more than a year that the pop singer cheated her out of overtime wages can tell her story to a jury in November, a judge said Tuesday.

A jury can decide whether Gaga's demands left Jennifer O'Neill any personal time or whether she was on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as she claimed in her 2011 lawsuit, U.S. District Judge Paul Gardephe said. A trial is set for Nov. 4.

O'Neill worked for the singer for one to two months in early 2009 and for 13 months beginning in February 2010, and the judge said both sides agree she was expected to be available as needed throughout each hour of each day.

Gardephe ruled that O'Neill's "on-call" time potentially qualifies for overtime compensation.

O'Neill said she was paid at a flat rate of about $50,000 annually when she was first hired and $75,000 annually the second time by the pop singer, who is estimated in a list published by Forbes magazine to have earned $80 million in the first six months of this year.

Lawyers did not immediately comment.

In his written decision, Gardephe noted that lawyers said Lady Gaga, listed in the litigation under her birth name — Stefani Germanotta — and O'Neill frequently slept in the same bed because O'Neill never had her own hotel room while on tour and was required to address Lady Gaga's needs throughout the night.

O'Neill had testified in a deposition that if Lady Gaga was watching a DVD in the middle of the night and grew tired of it, she woke her up to take out and replace the DVD.

"Every day is a work day for her, so every day is a work day for the rest of us," she said. "There is no, 'We're going to stay in, we're going to sleep.' There is no, 'Let's put on sweatpants and go out to the movies and be girlfriends.' It doesn't work like that," O'Neill said.

In her deposition testimony, Lady Gaga had testified: "You don't get a schedule. You don't get a schedule that is like you punch in and you can play ... at your desk for four hours and then you punch out at the end of the day. This is when I need you, you're available."

O'Neill had testified she was responsible for sometimes monitoring the singer's email and telephone communications and for handling all her luggage — generally 20 bags — including clothing, accessories, makeup and toiletries.

She was also responsible for making sure that "special food" was available at every location and for making sure the singer arrived at performances on time and had ample time for hairstyling, makeup and voice warm-ups and that she appeared on stage on time, O'Neill said.

She said she assisted with costume changes during performances and was responsible afterwards for arranging ice packs, tea and a shower, along with dinner and an exit from the venue.

The judge noted that the women met after Lady Gaga moved into O'Neill's apartment building on the Lower East Side of Manhattan before 2008, when they became roommates and friends. O'Neill was offered a position as her personal assistant because they were friends and she had experience in the music industry, court papers said.

Waking her up to change DVDs? LOL

I wonder what MONSTERS are saying on twitter right now. Probably that she's a whore and that she needs to die or something. :o

SKY FERREIRA SIGNS DEAL WITH LADY GAGA'S EX-MANAGER TROY CARTER

Model turned musician toasts new beginnings.

Sky Ferreira has revealed that she has signed a new deal with Lady Gaga's former manager Troy Carter.

The model turned musician announced the news online, posting a picture of herself licking a guitar while stating that she'd be working at Carter's Atom Factory Company.

Ferreira has often spoken out about differences she has had with record labels and management. Last year, she hit out at her record label for not making her debut album Night Time My Time available on vinyl. She slammed Capitol Records for "not being capable of what they're supposed to" and said she'd produce the vinyl herself. She has also fought for more creative control from her label.

Last year, Gaga and Carter parted ways - quoting 'creative differences' at the business end of what has been a rocky publicity drive for new album ARTPOP.

Troy Carter has reportedly frozen out of the creative direction Gaga is attempting with the new record. Carter was there from the start for Gaga. He was the man behind her initial deal with Interscope, which catapulted her to international stardom. He represents other artists such as John Legend through company Atom Factory and is seen in the industry as one of the primary reasons for Gaga's huge commercial success.

Sky Ferreira will play The Basement in London on 30 January, and will return to the UK to perform at Field Day in London on 7-8 June, 2014.

Her brilliant debut album, Night Time My Time will be released in the UK on 14 March 2014.

Lady Gaga Desperately Fighting To Keep Her Fortune Secret… But Court Battle Could See Her Finances Go Public!

Lady Gaga is vying to seal court documents that contain sensitive financial information regarding a settlement she entered into with her former producer, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

In 2010, producer and ex-boyfriend Rob Fusari filed a $30.5 million lawsuit against Gaga claiming he was denied a 20 percent share of her song royalties for hits he claimed he co-wrote like Paparazzi, Beautiful, Dirty, and Rich — also claiming he helped transformed Stefani Germanotta (her legal name) into Lady Gaga.

The lawsuit against Gaga was dropped in Sept. 2010 and the details of the settlement were sealed by the court, but now Fusari is fighting off a lawsuit himself filed by Wendy Starland, who claims she helped him discover the pop star and wants her commission.

Afraid of what documents the back and forth discovery phases between Fusari and Starland have produced, Gaga filed a motion on Jan. 6, 2014 to seal portions of the proceedings.

The docs — filed on her behalf by attorney Sandra A. Crawshaw-Sparks in New Jersey — state that details involved in the settlement agreement she made with Fusari are not to be revealed.

Gaga claims in the court papers that the strictly confidential agreement contains information that if exposed, would damage her career.

“In 2010, Germanotta entered into a confidential settlement agreement with Rob Fusari and Rob Fusari Productions, resolving certain disputes, unrelated to the instant action, that had arisen between them,” the documents read.

“These documents include highly sensitive financial information that could inflict significant professional and competitive harm upon Germanotta if disclosed.”

Crawshaw-Sparks asked the records be sealed before they are filed and the judge has yet to respond with a ruling.

Kim Kardashian And Kanye West 'Desperate' To Have Lady Gaga Sing At Their Wedding?

http://static.entertainmentwise.com/images/52dd32b44e0b1.jpg

The rapper popped the question on Kim's birthday

A-list stars Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are currently busy preparing for their big day with rumours suggesting that it could be in Paris - and according to latest reports the engaged couple are “desperate” to have Lady Gaga to sing at the wedding.

The 'Bound 2' rapper, who popped the question to the reality TV star in October on her 33rd birthday, went to see the 'Bad Romance' singer with Kim.

“Kim and Kanye met up with Gaga in Paris,” a source told The Sun. “They were desperate to get the star's involvement, which is why she's the first person to be asked. “She's ideal for them because Kanye has always been a fan of her style and performance art. But also, Kim loves her music, so it's one they can instantly agree on.”

The pair, who welcomed baby North last summer, recently slammed claims that their wedding would be taking place at the Palace of Versailles.

Kim told US TV host Jimmy Kimmel: "We took a tour because we’ve never been there before. We were just having a private tour."

And it appears that Kim doesn't have to worry so much about the wedding planning as Kanye is involved with the process. Revealing that she will be taking care of the seating plan, she said: "Kanye really cares and he's really passionate about it. He knows what he wants and he’s very specific about it. It makes my job 100 per cent easier.

"He'll take care of the music, I'll take care of seating chart so we'll make it easier for each other."

Hunter Hayes made use of a Gaga quote during his performance at the Grammys. SLAYGA. <3
