dress has been voted the most

controversial red carpet moment of

all time, says a survey.

The research, conducted by

hairstylist Charles Worthington,

found that the dress sported by

Gaga at the 2010 MTV Video Music

Awards was the most controversial,

It was followed by actress Elizabeth

Hurley's daring Versace safety pin

dress, which she wore to the

premiere of "Four Weddings and a

Funeral" in 1994.

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) invoked pop singer Lady Gaga at a congressional hearing on Wednesday in an effort to keep kids from having a bad romance with marijuana. During a Senate Judiciary oversight hearing on the Department of Justice, Sessions told Attorney General Eric Holder that he was appalled that President Barack Obama had recently said marijuana was no more dangerous than alcohol. “I’m heartbroken to see what the president said just a few days ago,” Sessions explained. “It’s just stunning to me. I find it beyond comprehension.” “Did the president conduct any medical or scientific survey?” the senator wanted to know, pointing to studies that claimed marijuana use was linked to impairments in IQ and anxiety. “That is exactly why one of our aid and enforcement priorities is the prevention of marijuana to minors,” Holder replied. “Well, Lady Gaga said she’s addicted to it and it’s not harmless!” Sessions insisted. “She’s been addicted to it. Patrick Kennedy, former Congressman Kennedy, said the president is wrong on this subject!” “I just hope you will talk to the president — you’re close to him — and being to pull back on this position that I think is going to adverse to the health of America.”

 

Lady Gaga recently became a talking point for conservative pundits after she told a radio host that she was “addicted” to marijuana. But only a year ago, conservatives were outraged over the pop star’s song “Born This Way” because they feared it could convince children to “embrace a homosexual or transgender lifestyle for a lifetime.”

Lady Gaga, Sir Elton John and the movie Dallas

Buyers Club are among the nominees for awards

presented by the gay advocacy group GLAAD.

The 25th annual GLAAD Media Awards honour

outstanding images of the lesbian, gay, bisexual

and transgender community in areas including

music, movies, TV and journalism.

 

GLAAD announced 93 nominees in the English-

language categories, with cable channels earning

28 bids and broadcast networks receiving 11.

Netflix earned its first nomination for the series

Orange Is The New Black.

 

There are 37 Spanish-language nominees,

including a stand-alone bid in the novela category

for Univision's Amores Verdaderos, which included

the wedding of a gay couple.

 

The GLAAD Media Awards will be presented in Los

Angeles and New York this spring.

They've spoken of their desire to collaborate and

they could be one step closer after Lady Gaga

went to see Britney Spears in concert on

Saturday night.

The Applause singer joined Britney’s manager

Larry Rudolph in the VIP section at Spears' Las

Vegas show where she was spotted dancing

along to the music and blowing kisses at the

blonde pop star.

Gaga was effusive in her praise for Britney,

tweeting a picture of them and writing: 'Me and

Brit Brit <3 #Applause4Britney @britneyspears

we had so much fun at your show! (sic).'

Gaga also wrote: 'She looked so gorgeous, the

show was so much fun, and her dad gave us THE

BEST BBQ. It was a #MonsterParty! (sic)'

The picture shows Britney, wearing her

bedazzled bodysuit, and a huge smile as she

hugs her pal.

However, her kind words didn’t stop there with

Gaga revealing Britney's father Jamie Spears

cooked a BBQ for her too.

The star – who runs a restaurant with her own

dad – wrote: 'And Britney's dad gave us homeade

BBQ, it was one of the best things I've ever eatin'

in my LIFE (sic).'

Gaga danced the night away and at one stage

even blew a kiss to Britney during the

performance.

Gaga dressed to impress for her big night out,

wearing a short dress, long blonde wig and

sunglasses.

She shared a picture of herself before the show,

writing: 'On my way to #BritneyBitch in

#ARTPOPStyle long blond hair, androgynous

wear (sic).'

In December, Gaga responded to Britney Spears

call for the pair to duet saying 'it's time' for them

to collaborate.

The singer tweeted her fellow US star saying the

time is right for them to collaborate, after the

Work Bitch hitmaker said she wanted to record a

song with Gaga.

During a live fan chat to promote her new album,

Britney Jean, the star said: 'I would do a duet

with Lady Gaga. I think that would be a lot of

fun. I think she's very different and interesting

and intricate.'

Responding to the answer, Gaga later tweeted

32-year-old saying: '@britneyspears lets do this

bitch its time (sic).'

Lady Gaga previously teamed up with fellow US

diva Beyonce on the 2010 hit Telephone but the

pair ended up falling out after the Single Ladies

hitmaker called her a 'selfish egomaniac'.

Ironically, Britney was first supposed to perform

on the track.

Even if you’re my age, you’ve probably heard of her. In a very short period of time Lady Gaga became a phenomenon. So how did this performer climb to the top of the pop music charts?

 

It took more than just talent. The music industry is one of the most difficult and competitive of any profession.

 

Rather than simply rely on her talent, Gaga used superb business instinct, a unique style and the desire to incite attention that makes her a standout.

 

If you’re finding that your job search or your business is flat, you might want to try a few of Gaga’s strategies.

 

• First: Flaunt your talent. Get it out onto center stage. While Lady Gaga loves to sing, she gives of her talent to entertain others. She flaunts her talent by adding over-the-top costumes and an element of surprise to her persona. That attracts and retains interest.

 

If your talent is sales or marketing or designing or consulting or teaching or whatever, what does your talent give to others? What about your talent attracts others and retains their interest/support? If your answer is nothing, get an agent, a coach or a mentor.

 

Once you figure this out, sing it loud and proud. Just make it a song that your target audience wants to hear. Gaga didn’t try to reinvent the ’60s. She’s hip and now. You need to be current and relevant, too.

 

• Second: Get business savvy. Gaga studied success. Her look was inspired by role models like Bowie, Grace Jones, Cindy Lauper and others. Gaga started by studying Madonna’s success to see how she could improve upon that business model to make it her own unique brand. Embrace competition and learn from it.

 

• Three: Be unique. From the time we’re old enough to know what it means, we all want to fit in. But in business, this is the kiss of death. If nothing makes you better, smarter, more valuable, nicer, more affordable, more dependable, more productive, more interesting, easier to work with, higher quality, more consistent ... why should I care?

 

• Four: Incite attention. None of us wants to be the industry’s best-kept secret. Gaga aligned herself with people in the business who could help her. She wrote music for others, besides writing for herself, to get more exposure. She took her look and made it extreme to attract attention. But rather than create a signature look, she created a signature brand that’s all about change and innovation. Gaga knows getting attention is one thing. Keeping it is another.

 

The good news is you don't have to bleach your hair platinum or walk around in clothes made of beef.

 

Build a strong network, get testimonials, referrals and endorsements for your work, stay current, be visible online and off, watch and set trends, get out into the industry and/or community as a known expert or leading provider by participating in associations, organizations, civic groups, boards of directors and chambers of commerce. The key here is to participate as a headliner, not a groupie.

Tanisha dressed up in a goat meat

dress for a special photo shoot

apparently to save animals. Her

dress is similar to the meat dress

that Lady Gaga had worn to

Grammy Awards few years back

which was criticized by animal rights

activists.

Tanisha wanted everyone to boycott

shoes, belts, jackets made from

animal meat. She also wore a hat

with a message 'save animals'

written on it!

While Gaga's dress was made of

beef, Tanisha opted for goat meat.

Now the main point here is who

would wear meat to send across the

'save animals' message.

Pop star Lady Gaga recently infiltrated the echelons of high art at the Louvre. And she did it with the help of digital signage. Artist Robert Wilson last year unveiled a video installation at the Musée du Louvre in Paris featuring Lady Gaga in the re-creation of several renowned paintings housed at the Louvre — "The Death of Marat," "The Head of St. John the Baptist on a Charger," and "Mademoiselle Caroline Riviere" — as well as one Japanese inspired portrait in which Lady Gaga is shown bound and suspended in midair. The video installation was powered by solid-state XD digital signage media players from BrightSign, creating a juxtaposition of modern artistic technique and classic artistic works, resulting in a provocative interpretation that blurs the lines between traditional art and modern pop culture, according to a case study on the exhibit from BrightSign. The digital signage media players drive the entire installation, powering 17 separate LCD and plasma displays installed throughout the sprawling museum.

BRIT Awards 2014 this year, but it isn't
