One of those strange shows which is bordering on cult status despite being watched by millions, The Friday/Sunday Night Project is popular for a number of reasons; the public, usually so averse to gays, can't get enough of Alan Carr; he and JLC share a sizzling chemistry; it's always fun to see b/a-listers send themselves up after the watershed. I don't watch it religiously but do enjoy the odd episode here and there, particularly Mariah's rather fabulous appearance last year. MC adopted a personality for the night. How we larfed.

I know literally nothing about this show. Infact, i've scarcely heard of it before this rate :heehee: I gather its some form of DRAMA/HORROR, most presumably about ghosts? Some fellows hunt ghosts/demons i hear? Maybe some of you who voted for it can fill me in, i know nothing. Therefore, probably crap. :kink:

THIS IS THE STUFF. The world's best show which should without a doubt be much higher. Is Jack Bauer not simply the world's best man? Not only is he able to save the world in 24 hours, he manages to do so without eating, urinating, sleeping or drinking. Amazing! Back on form and currently in it's 7th season, yet I feel slightly let down by former CTU Agent Tony Almeida being a terrorist :( YES? And also, Michelle Dessler was just FABULOUS. I don't think anyone could ASK for a better team member. I'll stop rambling on about 24 now, GOD I LOVE IT SO. IT SHOULD BE #1. DAMN YOU BUZZJACK. DAMN YOU ALL.

Y'all were worrying where this might turn up in the rate and here it is :o Seems to be loved by most, teen drama at it's best this one! INTERESTING FACT 'cause again, i know nothing, Mark Schwahn originally planned for One Tree Hill to be a feature length film. He pitched the idea around town but under the advice of a WB front man, he revised the movie into an hour-long teen drama series. Tree Hill is a fictional town, named from the song "One Tree Hill" by U2. :) I didn't just paste that to fill up space. Honest.

Supernatural is amazing, puts the latest seasons of Smallville to shame. Brilliantly written and acted, no dumb Lois on the show. If only they kept Katie Cassidy as Ruby the current season could have been even more amazing.

Surely if it were teen drama at its best, James, there'd be no others to come? :kink:

My Family started out in 2000 as a funny, fresh and bitingly sarcastic family drama. You had everything - the grumpy parents (the wonderful Zoë Wanamaker and Robert Lindsay), the thick teenage son, the boffin younger sun and the $l*t daughter. Since then it's gone steadily downhill; Nick left, with actor Kris Marshall not wanting to be stereotyped, and we were introduced to thick-as-pig-muck Abi and her similarly dim-witted suitor Roger. Fact is My Family is barely funny these days, and much of the cast, including the wonderfully magnetic and rather attractive Daniela Denby-Ashe, deserve much, much better. Many other of the British sitcoms which emerged since have the family set-up better-covered, from the relentlessly funny Worst Week Of My Life to the less funny but strangely acclaimed Outnumbered. My Family surely won't be gracing our screens for much longer...

From one sitcom to another, Only Fools & Horses focused slightly more heavily on the drama side of things, which invariably provided the laughs. Whilst stars David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst aged considerably throughout the show's twenty-two year run, the laughs rarely stopped, and it's a sign of the mark left by a show that certain episodes are imprinted in the mind of half a nation; the chandelier incident, the Batman & Robin fancy dress occasion. Like all good things, though, OF&H had to end; from 1991 until 2003 only Christmas episodes were produced. Fittingly, the final ever episode saw Del and Rodney finally get rich.

However, the show deserved to finish this 'low' if only for becoming startlingly overrated (beating The Vicar Of Dibley in the Britain's Best Sitcom countdown was a travesty) and for spawning the revolting spin-off The Green Green Grass, which seems to rely on getting its laughs from Boycie's accent...

My Family is absolutely $h!t, not funny in the slightest.

Only Fools & Horses is brilliant, possibly the best british comedy ever.

My Family used to be very good at one point, but now it really is just plain $h!t. :( I dunno why they keep on going!

LOVE The Friday/Sunday Night Project, Alan Carr pretty much MAKES the show though, it has to be said.

As much as I love The Vicar of Dibley, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Only Fools and Horses is funnier.
OTH that low. INSANITY :(

So many shows i've never bothered watching.

Im inclined to agree with Jark on my Family, it still has it's moments of brilliance though.

Much love <3 Best. Show. Ever.

OTH that low. INSANITY :(

tbf not that many people on here watch it. Im honestly surprised it was that high. But im very pleased with its position even though i wouldve prefered higher

Oh I forgot Torchwood from my list, would easily have been in my top 5 :( Oh well, MORALLY it's a top 35.

I agree on the Carr/Lee-Collins chemistry on the Sunday/Friday Night Project, they bounce each other SO well.

My Family is easily amongst the worst shows on TV right now. And it's a shame because the cast are clearly capable of very good things. It's just EVERYTHING else about it is awful, particular the jokes.

So many teen dramas popping up that I just have never even had the inclincation to check out; One Tree Hill wtf? Sounds dreadful.

Really isnt. Its different from most Teen dramas, in the sense that not everything is made better with a new car/house and filled flashy spoilt rich kids. Would defo recommend it. Chad Michael Murray, Hilarie Burton, Bethany Joy Galleoti and Sophia Bush (especially in the current season) really shine in it.

talking of Teen dramas, i wonder if Popular makes an appearance in this...

well I certainly voted for that :P No other teen "drama" tops it imo

if i hate The WB for one thing its the fact they cancelled it lol.

Other than that... well they brought Charmed and One Tree Hill into my life so <3

It's one of the best shows ever! -_- (Idk whether i could remember to include it in my voting list tbh :o :o )

Popular better make it! :(

Although I'm pretty sure me, Xylem & Joao are the only ones who voted for it, shame really. :(

I needed to edit my votes to put Popular in it tbh! :(
