Hey guys…so we know it’s been quiet in the 78violet camp but we want to first off thank you for sticking with us. We have some big news and wanted to make sure you hear it first.

 

Now that it’s official, we can tell you we’re no longer a part of Hollywood Records. What does that mean exactly??? Now we have the freedom to take 78violet in the direction we want. We’re writing and recording new music and are really excited on what’s next.

 

So…what is next? As for the album we recorded for Hollywood, honestly, we don’t foresee it ever being released. But…we are continuing to write and record new songs that we hope you’ll love as much as we do.

 

We’re going to be taking the Aly & AJ website down in the meantime which means the current message board will be removed and the accounts you created on the site will be put on hold. Yes…major bummer. But we’ll have a new message board and a new temporary site up in a few days that will serve as our main communication with you for the time being.

that's what I think... any curses in a song would be a huge no no for them.

 

I just hope they get signed/have other labels ready to get some music recorded, seeing as they weren't happy with the Album they already made.

another funny thing is that rob covallo's dad is president of Hollywood, and what a feckin good job they are both doin. being crap at running labels seems to run in the family :lol:

They plan on releasing an album after finishing Hellcats TV series (Aly) and Film projects (AJ).

Yeah thats still spring. I'm not too sure if Hellcats has the full season pick up but if they do the season will probably end around May time so they will finish filming maybe a month or two before.

 

EDIT: They currently have 13 episodes for the season but it can get the full season order later on. Either way they will be filming until towards the end of the year. Usually filming ends around Thanksgiving.

So... it's basically not really happening. :(

Kevin Murphy confirmed in a interview the release of the official sountrack for the TV series [Hellcats], including a exclusive song called "Rockstar" featured in the first episode "A World Full of Strangers" sung by Fefe Dobson, and theme song, which is performed by Michalka's band 78violet, is going to be premiered in the sixth episode. Songs covered for the series includes "The Letter" by The Box Tops and Sting's "Brand New Day". Murphy added "So we are building a library of material. Once we have enough, we're gonna put it on iTunes and definitely do a soundtrack album."
