I love this Gwen-inspired voice (also love Gwen). A cute album track that I've always loved.

Another album overtaken now on the all time weeks list for the UK top 100. After she passed Jess Glynnes debut earlier this year she’s now passed Tracy Chapmans debut (this is just for female studio albums as they are some female greatest hits albums on more)

The list is currently as follows

Amy Winehouse - Back to Black (551 combined with deluxe)

Adele - 21 (412)

Dua Lipa - Dua Lipa (353)

Taylor Swift - 1989 (352)

Adele - 25 (335)

Katy Perry - Teenage Dream (326)

Lady Gaga - The Fame (293)

Tracy Chapman - Tracy Chapman (292)

Currently the albums above Gaga’s are all charting (except Adele’s but both 21 and 25 have charted for several weeks this year and will likely re enter at some point).

However by this she now has the longest running debut album by an international female as of this week.

Thanks for that stat! It is unlikely to climb further on that list - maybe pass 25 at some point?

It’s hard to tell! It’s unlikely an international debut will pass The Fame though so that’s one record it should keep for some time.

With 25, I think that might come back at some point I don’t quite know how the European shows will impact Adele with them being in Germany but both 25 and 21 have charted for several weeks this year in the 75-100 region it’s only the last few weeks where the release schedules picked up that they’ve dropped out.

Definitely here for The Fame reaching the 300 weeks milestone though which should happen pretty soon. The Fame also has higher actual sales UK wise than Dua Lipa, 1989 and Teenage Dream. I wonder how long 1989 can keep international record though with the re recording now outdoing the original (the original album still charts but in the lower regions of the chart to where it was previously).

Still it’s great to see The Fame cementing itself as a classic. I’m keen to actually see where it places on lists like this in other countries. I know I’m the US it’s racked up plenty weeks (and that’s purely Just The Fame as The Fame Monster was a separate release altogether there).

US album chart

142 134 365 The Fame, Lady Gaga (peak: 2)

Seems to be OUT this week, what the hell :o Surely it hasn't dropped 59 positions in a week after been quite steady all these YEARS

Apparently Billboard counted the albums separately this week which caused The Fame drop out of Billboard 200 and The Fame Monster re-enter the dance album chart.
