Posted May 4, 200916 yr I can't believe this amazing big voice is coming out of this little girl! Faryl Smith, she's only 13! That wows me..reminds me of Charlotte Church..but better. I remember her from Britain's Got Talent but I don't remember her voice being that exceptionally well. Did anyone catch her on that show? Her album is amazing and I hope to see more of her in the near classical future! youtube.com/watch?v=ABDpKdiRbXc
May 4, 200916 yr I though this is about The Prodigy. :P   Well, then they'd have to be moved to the Dance Forum innit.....? As it is, I reckon it would do better in the Reality TV Forum tbh.....
May 4, 200916 yr That's a bit sick tbh ^ he's not a peedo! No, but he is the Master Exploiter, and Satan's little helper who leeches off the talent of others like a parasite or vampire....
May 4, 200916 yr ^ Disagree. He knows talent and he's honest. These bigshots that go on the X Factor and BGT thinking they can sing, all smug should be told just how $h!t they are!
May 4, 200916 yr ^ Disagree. He knows talent and he's honest.! Rubbish... His idea of "talent" has a very limited scope mate.... The next John Lennon, Bjork or Jim Morrison could go on X-Factor, and he'd probably just shoot them down because he's totally biased in favour of ONE particular genre of music..... I've yet to see a good performer from a Rock, Indie or Synthpop background get anywhere on any of the shows he's directly involved with.... Kelly Clarkson would probably have not have made it through to the final stages of UK Pop Idol....
May 4, 200916 yr God, don't you have a Rock forum to go to! That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. I'm sure you've come here just to argue!
May 4, 200916 yr BTW: David Cook (American Idol winner) and Tabby (X Factor 3rd Place) to name a couple!
May 4, 200916 yr And one of Kelly Clarkson's albums (My December) was 100% rock music, another American Idol winner. And not being biasd (I'm British) American Idol has a far high level of talent than the UK,probably cause it''s a bigger country!

And not being biasd (I'm British) American Idol has a far high level of talent than the UK,probably cause it''s a bigger country! Right, so there are NO ROCK FANS or fledgling ROCK SINGERS anywhere... At all, in the UK...... Really, I mean, this is actually what you're saying is it...? (trying to suppress laughter) I then refer to to FINLAND's version of Pop Idol, where Popular ROCK singer Hannah Pakarinen (who was in the Eurovision Song Contest last year, and is regarded as Finland's answer to Kelly Clarkson..) won the competition; Finland is considerably smaller than UK...... In fact, look at Finland in general... For such a wee country with such a tiny population, their concentration of Alt/Rock/Metal acts is incredibly high..... No, I really, really do think out there in UK somewhere we DO have a Kelly Clarkson or even an Amy Lee and she's been rejected by those fukkin' r*t**** that "judge" X-Factor..... <_<
May 4, 200916 yr God, don't you have a Rock forum to go to! That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. I'm sure you've come here just to argue! It's actually a Metal/Punk forum, do keep up.... And besides, somehow I DONT think that Chris the mod would allow me to start talking about Kelly Clarkson there...... This is why I suggested moving this thread to the Reality TV forum.....
May 4, 200916 yr And one of Kelly Clarkson's albums (My December) was 100% rock  what bull  MD was nothing near to "100% rock" I suggest you have a listen to proper rock music before you label MD "100% rock" Also, the 13y.o. prodigy still remains to be JoJo, 5 years later. Youngest ever person to have a number 1 in the US.

Exactly X Factor is about BALLADS that is why they sing the damn things right the way through the series with a couple of exceptions I have never seen a rock week or an indie week or a metal week on X Factor it is about ballads and teen pop The artists you have listed in this thread wouldn't get past boot camp given what X factor is about By FAR best reality tv music show ever has been Rock Star INXS

Personally the Top 5 on the show were better than anything Pop Idol/X-Factor has produced (with the exception of Will Young & Leona Lewis). Examples: 2zsNdGf8Bt8 Jordis Unga - Man Who Sold The World k0MilVU-F5w Suzie McNeil - Bohemian Rhapsody yQu2uimyiMM Marty Casey - Creep ddMVvj5y21s JD Fortune - Money

The youngest female to write & perform a USA#1 hit (Foolish Beat), which she also produced remains Debbie Gibson from 1988.
May 4, 200916 yr This isn't the 'Leon has been dropped' thread to talk about Reality talent shows again, right?
May 4, 200916 yr Exactly X Factor is about BALLADS that is why they sing the damn things right the way through the series with a couple of exceptions I have never seen a rock week or an indie week or a metal week on X Factor ..Or, better yet, an "Own Compositions" week.... when they sit down with a professional songwriter and together actually come up with an original composition in whatever style they want.... I mean, if X-Factor IS really all about "finding talent" that one or two people on this thread are arguing.....
