It is spelt Pokemon.

Or to be more pedantic, Pokémon.

OK B-rye! Thanks for pointing out all the errors. I do agree that the spelling is going out the window! It`s the age!

I must admit that I get annoyed when people (in certain jobs) really mess up on spelling. You see it in the press all the time. It`s a disgrace, when you think of the so called "educated" people that do these jobs. I`ve been doing an extra part-time job recently, and the manager there can not spell for toffee! What a society we work in. :o

off topic but...

A friend beside me at my Science class can't spell. ;)

I remember him asking what's the spelling of TEMPERATURE on crosswords, and I shown him the spelling somewhere and he didn't want it. Weird, he can't trust me. :P

After several minutes, it all goes wrong again with the spelling TEMPRITURE at a work sheet.

That is exactly the way this manager spells it! He prints all his notes off the PC (that has a spellchecker) and still get`s it wrong, and they pay the twit £30,000 per annum! Something is wrong, ain`t it? (Or perhaps I should say isn`t it)!

it annoys me when i can't read peoples posts on here. It's OK when they aren't from an English speaking country but when they are it's just argghh.

Absolutely Steve. Actually I feel sorry for people that are trying to learn to speak English. I spent a while (the other day), explaining to this poor Polish girl as to why some dumb people go in to pubs/restaurants/newsagents etc and ask the person behind the bar/counter "Can I get some cigarettes?" Anyone with any sense (who thought first) would know that you should say "Can I HAVE", not "Can I GET"....What do they expect to do? Climb over the counter and get them?!

I love all the non movers in the top 40 chart, I think I counted about 10 in the official chart today, the science bit on Radio 1 on Sunday is going to be hilarious. If they still end up as non movers.

It looks like we aren't far off having 10 non movers in the Top 10 this week, which is really quite something. :)

Dave, do you want to add the Jukebox Play chart? Seeing as you already cover movies, TV, books, why not cover pub play in jukeboxes for songs as well?

The charts can be found here: http://www.thepublican.com/section.asp?navcode=304

And they update every Wednesday/Thursday.

Can do. It was very interesting to see those the other day. It reminded me that all the Music press...NME, MELODY MAKER etc always used to print the Jukebox Charts 1956 - 62, alongside the proper sales chart. The Jukebox hits of the time also came up with some very long runners that did not even make the proper chart at all. One that sprung to mind was "Pink Shoe Laces" by Dodie Stevens...an American hit, covered in the UK by Alma Cogan (that also flopped in the proper chart).
