Nah the album will be out in August imo. All the rumours and info i've heard over the past 2 weeks have been for August. They were meant to have confirmed the release date on Monday 18th, but something changed. So whether it's going to take longer, or whether they actually think they can bring it out in a shorter time, or maybe they just put off releasing stuff for the time being is unclear.

I'm very sure they'll want the album out before Reading and Leeds (which is what's been said many times). As there'd be nothing worse going to see them and they play a load of songs nobody knows! I am hoping that it comes out before August 24th though. August 10th or 17th would be nice.

I highly doubt a Black Sabbath-sounding album. :heehee: The last time a band ever sounded anything like Black Sabbath was probably 20 years ago. I hope it doesn't turn into any of the annoying NME-Pop Punk shit.

It's meant to be a bit like their 2nd album. It was quite dark in places, yet light in others. I think there will be some quite dark tracks, with some heavy riffs, but then there'll be some lighter songs too. On their latest blog they're playing some of their new songs and they sound good, different to how I thought they'd sound though. I get the impression that the Sabbath sound is just for one track. There's no way the album will be like that.

A load of demos from Favourite Worst Nightmare were posted on a French Arctic Monkeys forum the other night and that's got me pumped for the new album. I really can't wait to hear it. They've changed so much already since they first came about, and I can't wait to hear what they sound like now.
