Though I'm not sure about the last two, it could be Denmark, but I think they will just miss, Latvia, Hungary or Ireland (if they really pull it out the bag) are also possible.

 

8 out of 10 for me too. Never could have predicted Croatia - maybe they were jury pick?

I'm gutted Slovenia did not get thru, surprised at Croatia, Lithuania and Denmark though.

I don't think Croatia were the jury pick, I'd say it was the only song that really might have benefited from Block voting (but I'd say the other 9 definitly got through on thier own merits)

I'm actually ECSTATIC. With the exception of Croatia (who were still alright - I would've personally swapped them for Ireland though), I adore all of the qualifiers. This is easily the best ESC final in years and a real vindication of the two semi system (and I think it works 50/50 jury/televoting in the semis too doesn't it? That's how the simulator works anyway...). Two semis with only one of my favourites missing out from each night is fantastic, we're set for a really good show on Saturday...for once I don't have to be embarrassed! Thank f*** Serbia didn't make it! :w00t:

I think Albania is quite the dark horse for the final, many haven't thought it would do well but if Albania get's a late slot they could reach top 5 imo.

That's definitely odd, their scheduling is all over this year. They must have used a jury vote? :unsure:

TVE failed to show the second semifinal live

TVE have tonight failed to show the second semifinal live on its second terrestrial channel as had been expected.

 

The programme was shown live on the TVE website and incited many derogatory comments from people who were very unhappy at the lack of information surrounding the event. Ironically after an hour, TVE started to transmit the semifinal but with an hour delay, meaning that phonelines to vote were not made available to the public as was expected. TVE decided to continue showing Tennis from the Madrid Masters, even though it has an exclusive sports channel via its digital format.

 

Though no blame can be attached to Soraya and her delegation since they are in Moscow, this incident will surely not be good for Spain as they aim to win on Saturday. There is no current statement from TVE regarding this matter and we will bring you any further development should this arise.

I agree ... since my first listen, I said Albania were the ones to watch for top 10, maybe top 5, material. But no-one listened :drama: Hoping for great thinks for Kejsi on Saturday, she is amazing for 16, and I love the song and performance.

Re-watching the semi now, I'm not sure about Norway at all. In some ways, it's great, and Alex has definitely improved vocally, and he's cute, but I still wanna slap the grin off've his face sometimes :kink:

 

I didn't realise it the first time round, but you can hardly hear Sakis ... but wow, what a show!
