Posted June 22, 200619 yr will you blab to the water dudes if theres a ban and your neighbour is using a hose during that ban?
June 22, 200619 yr absolutely not - and nor should anyone else until the water companies provide a decent system that doesn't waste the majority of our precious water.
June 22, 200619 yr Yes I would, if I am not allowed to use a hosepipe nor should they Their selfish actions would result in standpipes in the street
June 22, 200619 yr why did I just know you'd be dialling behind your net curtains, Ozzy? Net curtains ?  Venetian blinds thank you very much :) Net curtians are so Ena Sharples
June 22, 200619 yr I'm unsure about this, because while I dont like the idea of grassing up your neighbours, I do believe that anyone using a hosepipe where there is a shortage of water is a selfish git... BUT, I blame the Privatised Water Companies for this a hell of a lot more than any individual person hosing their lawn or filling up a paddling pool. The Water Companies' total inability to deal with the problem of leaks is utterly ludicrous, and their pathetic excuses even more so. And also, bear in mind that Thames Water thought it would be a simply marvelous idea to sell of seven reservoirs to ruddy property developers. Tossers.... <_< They dont give a fukk if the whole of London fukkin' dies of thirst so long as their ruddy shareholders get their kickbacks..... <_< <_< <_< Water should NEVER have been sold off, simple as. There are some things that you just cannot trust a private company with, and the water supply of an entire nation is definitely one of these things, it's just way too important to trust private individuals with, especially where there appears to be no real accountability....

June 22, 200619 yr you young whippersnappers have NO idea! those of us who remember the great drought of 1976 think you8 have it easy nowdays! some areas had water cut off, you had to collect it from standpipes in the street! you had to put a brick in the bog system so it wouldnt flush much water and you were asked not to flush fluids! ankle depth bathwater (most didnt have showers) no car washing plants were watered with washing up/or bathwater and this was countrywide, not just in the southeast where the tv cameras are! lol.
